Lots of people have perfectly clean backgrounds. I have to get a full criminal background check every year for a junior high school I volunteer at teaching computer science. It comes back clean each year, and there are lots of people who wouldn't get jobs if their background checks didn't come back clean. I've had two jobs that did full criminal and even financial background checks in the process of hiring.
Adultery and crimes for which you were never charged aren't in a background check. Doesn't mean there aren't people in your life w pictures of you dressed as Hitler or waving a confederate flag drunk on SoCo or something

Typically that's not the kind of candidate who would even win mayor. So as I said, forget the background. Go out there and open up, own up to not bring perfect. Relate to the majority of people who have done the same things
Besides the FBI coming to my house for attending J6 (Hi Mike 👋 ) I haven’t had a parking ticket or a traffic stop in more than a decade. When Mike told my husband he was there to speak to me, he lolllllled.
