So we sign up for Paramount+ to get our Survivor on!
Didn't even make it through the first episode. First off like a 3rd of the people are "Medical personnel" in some way shape or form so you know that means they are going to play up the clot shot.
Then they have multiple queer/gay characters which is not all that surprising, but this one guy has his sob story about missing his adopted daughter while his transgender pregnant husband works full-time.
Then the host asks "for 20 years, i've been saying 'come on in guys' is it time to retire that because of the word guys?" And the answer is YES!
The guy who said yes we should drop the word "guys" is like "survivor has changed so much in twenty years, now theres black and brown and LGBT people playing..." LITERALLY THE FIRST WINNER OF SURVIVOR WAS GAY!

This! We cut the cord on the cable crap 7 years ago and went to an antenna. That cut our time in front of the tube in half. Especially in the evenings. Since about late 2019 we literally quit watching all TV. We cannot even turn it on anymore. It's all complete propaganda and consumerism B.S. For a while, every couple weeks we were turning it on to just check out the local news spin on what is going on. It's hard to watch. Now we barely even turn it on once a month! If we do, we tune in to a local news channel for a few minutes to see what kind of B.S. they are spinning now. It's almost comical! BUT, it makes me so angry now, I cannot leave the damn thing on for more than a couple minutes. I find myself screaming and yelling at the TV shouting obscenities until the wife says I need to turn it off because it's driving me crazy. Don't even get me started on the damn commercials. I could go on about the B.S. they are shoving in our face in the commercials! They can fuck right the hell off! Essentially all we use the thing for now is watching/viewing pictures off our phones or watching an old movie on what few remaining DVD's I have left. Anyway... Yea. Agreed. Ditch the damn thing!

It's funny how they're all about "equal representation" for the alphabet community and black/brown people, but when you actually do the math, they're OVER represented in movies and TV shows now. Ever since May 2020 (the Floyd incident) about 80% of all commercials I see are black people, 15% are gay/lesbian couples, and the remaining 5% are maybe white people, but they are usually the "idiots" in the commercial, and the super smart gay and black people must correct them.

I watched the game awards a few nights ago. Everyone knows the developers are some of the worst, left leaning liberal people out there now. The pandering is what frustrated me while watching it. The zoom in on the crowd only showing people of color, or trans/gay people with pride buttons or flags on their lapel. In between awards, they had mini shorts with content creators for gaming and the first one was 2 men that dress in drag and stream on twitch. Later in the show they demonstrated “black voices” podcast which isn’t even gaming? The game “death loop” won an award, and sure enough the guy receiving the award was French Canadian and by his side was a male to female trans with the trans flag 🏳️⚧️.
The kicker of it all was throughout the entire show, they kept phrasing “it’s so glad to be back this year... IN PERSON!!!!” Yet all masked, 10 feet apart. Fuck. Rant over.

yeah ive watched every season. this season got off to a bad start with all that shit. a bit into the season their is a "racial learning moment" that went on forever. I watch it with my mom and didnt have it in my heart to stop after watching the first episode. done with it after this season though.

“Reality shows” are designed to be dramatic, crazy and overblown. The show has been going for so long they have run out of “people” that entertain like the truly moronic do. Everything to the extreme now.
It is so obvious the narrative that these shows are forcing. Almost every episode this season of Survivor they bring up race. They had a black alliance that quickly fell apart, can you imagine a white aliance? There is a holiday baking show I watch every year and planned on watching until I noticed on the commercial for it that FIVE of the eight contestants were black. Geez, let's overcompensate! Every house hunting show now shows gay couples as much as straight couples and if you go on Apple TV -- it is hard to find a straight white male in any of their series, and if you do, they have a supporting role. Apparently Survivor Australia is closer to the original Survivor, without as much woke bullshit. I downloaded the first episodes of Season 5 and that description seems to be accurate. For example, out of 24 contestants, 23 are white. There is one Chinese dude. No token black. Zero token aboriginals, which I would have thought Australian TV would be forcing in at least one of those by now. And I don’t think anyone on the show is gay, or at least none are doing the stepnfetchit lisping gay stereotype.
It literally feels strange to see so many white people on one show now. It’s actually hard to tell them apart! We’re not used to this anymore haha.

I haven't watched TV at all for 2 for 3 years now, but even before that all I would watch, on occasion, was Discovery channel pretty much, and even that got completely corrupted, can't be recognized anymore.
I miss the days in my youth I could go there and some very interesting documentary about the universe, sharks, crimes, freaking mythbusters or whatever would be on, don't matter what time of the day.
Now all you get is garbage fucking reality TV BS, people running around naked in the woods, fucking auction house nonsense, car building nonsense, people looking for gold or some shit... the fakest stupid things... and by now I mean like the 2 or 3 years ago which was the last time I even tried, can't even imagine how it's like now.

I guess I was saying my opinion of the whole reality competition/shows in general is that they were trash. I valued it about as much as I valued WWF wrestling. But then again, I never spent much time watching TV anyway, so who knows, it may have been good at so e point.
Survivor is one of the only shows in the mainstream media that depicts Christians as normal members of society. That isn’t much but it does make me think Mark Burnett (who worked with Trump) might be a bit of a stealth conservative.
