I'm trying to be a better Christian and have been thinking a lot about Jesus' exhorting "praying for your enemies."
Now normally thats tough enough and ive been doing it, but our enemies now are quite literally satanists and possibly demon-possessed. I come away feeling dumb praying for Fauci and the like who would just as soon kill my sons and I as look at us, provided the former option increases their ROI or their prestige. Likewise Gates, Schwab, the whole litany of evil people playing God right now with no repercussions.
Any advice? Like i said its hard and im doing it but some backup or hearing from others might help.
Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you in prayer. Confess to Him how hard it is for you. Lay it all down humbly before God and He will lead you what to say and how to pray. These things are beyond human understanding but it's our willingness that unlocks the door.
The best thing you could pray for them is also the best thing for the country: that their demons be BOUND and cast out, that they be set free, accept Jesus, and join the God, aka winning, team.
In heaven we will have ALL ETERNITY with one another.
After a million years, you pretty much will have gotten to know everyone on a personal level, just because you can.
Adding even a single soul to the mix would mean everyone will have another friend.
That's a multiplicity of experiences together for all eternity.
There is so, SO much to be gained from a single sinner repenting and finding God. It's all the more impressive when someone so devoured by sin and obsession would be able to overcome the obstacles.
No one bats an eye when an average person opens a door.
When someone with no arms or legs opens that same door, it is something amazing.
Sins are burdens on our soul -- the more we have, the less we can do in the Spirit.
When someone has so many burdens, so many sins, and repents and finds God, that's like a blind man finding his way through a desert to find an oasis. It's hard for most, but near impossible for him. Only through the Grace of God would he have a chance to find the oasis when most with eyes to see still get lost, and yet it still happens.
Pray for your enemies, because their salvation would birth an eternal friendship with all souls in heaven.
And the roar of the angels and saints celebrating the return of the prodigal son or daughter would be absolutely stupendous!
A great and insightful take on the question
What you need to be able to do...easier said than done...is separate the "error/lie/evil" from the person. That opens the door to seeing them as God created them.
Heap coals on their heads, no one is beyond redemption. As hard as it seems, how can we expect to be forgiven if we can't forgive others:
Luke 6:27-32 “But I say to you who are listening, love your enemies. Do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who are cruel to you. If anyone slaps you on one cheek, offer him the other cheek, too.
Mark 11:25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins
Matthew 6:19-25 Pray then like this: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Matthew 18:21-22 Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times
Ask GOD to cut off the Evil at the root. Ask that the Evil and Fraudulent people pushing the lies about the Vax have a change of Heart and Spirit and turn to GOD for redemption! Ask to get back our Country based on GOD's precepts and statutes! Ask the United States gets back to a Country based on the Founding Fathers' morals etc! Just my thoughts!
Interesting take. Trust that god will ensure retribution is served and be confident in that. Pray for those whom you know the wrath is coming for. Ask god to be merciful on them for you know that hell awaits them. Realize that he will not be merciful to them. Pray for it anyway. Be righteous.
Praying for your enemies is like poring hot coals on their heads.
When you truly release your anger and forgive them and pray blessings for your enemies, it allows God to intervene and get around their personal karmic cycle.
You kind of answered your question with these juxtaposed ideas: “our enemies now are quite literally satanists and possibly demon-possessed. I come away feeling dumb praying for Fauci”
Maybe pray for them to be freed from demon possession?
Paul tells us that our enemies are not flesh and blood, but principalities. Biden, Fauci, all of them are controlled by darkness. Think of them as imprisoned, held by chains. They need to be rescued. They need the light just as much as anyone else.
Forgiveness is for you, not them. Hatred in your heart lets evil in with it. Hope that helps.
Indeed, this is not an easy one. What helped me, at the outset when I realized that Fauci was talking out of both sides of his mouth, and I was getting steamed up over it, I was reminded of the divine principle of “reaping what we sow”. When I thought of that in terms of the “satanists” (we know who they all are), I actually felt sorry for them. I can’t say that I proceeded to include them in my daily prayers, however, I was, by the grace of God, released from the anger that bound me to them.
On the “no repercussions” subject, don’t believe it. “Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord”. Justice will always be done, whether here or in the afterlife.
Pray that any entity/energy/being that does not serve Divine Light, Christ, Love, be transmuted in Love. Let the Father deal with them divinely.
Thanks all you guys for some great insights and ideas. Gonna start putting them into practice.
He also said "do not cast your pearls before swine".....God does not require you to pray for evil. He already knows who they are and they will not receive forgiveness...
Blessings....
God never stops chasing His children. If we believe in redemption, then there is hope. God knew us before we were born and whether or not we would embrace Him or remain separated (hell). We are all sinners in the presence of God's holiness. When does someone become saved? For some, this happens at a young age, for others after many trials, and for some, on their very deathbed. Your prayers are powerful. Love conquers evil; light destroys the darkness. Your prayers originate from love. Each of us will have a very intimate conversation with the Lord about our time here and give an accounting of our deeds. God's truth is the only truth; He sees the hearts of His children in all their brokenness.
Thank you for your post. I used this opportunity to read several chapters from the Bible, including Romans 2 and 12.
I pray that all men might turn to Jesus Christ before it is too late. But I have to confess, that I have a lot of other people and things to pray for so I have not prayed for Fauci and Gates (and many others in the cabal). You should not have any guilt. Pray for their souls if you do though. May God bless you.
Pray they are removed from power, get saved and judged in this world rather than the next. Because the final judgment for them will not be pretty.
I agree. It's very difficult. Do you pray for satan? Similar concept. Believers have come to an understanding that they are not perfect, that they are sinners and that they need a saviour. Would God save us anyway? Even if we didn't come to that realization? I struggle with understanding the 7 x 70 aspect of forgiveness. Are we forgiving people who have recognized their error and are asking forgiveness, or are we forgiving people who never apologized and would still kill us as soon as look at us? All I can say is that only God knows if these people will ever become believers, but I do think He honors our willingness to forgive - or at least attempt to forgive. Because that is showing obedience to Him.
Maybe just pray that they will repent of their sins. Loving them is just not possible for me.
Don't waste your pearls on pigs.
"Not by might, not by strength, but by MY Spirit, says the Lord."
"If a man slaps you, turn the other cheek" does not equate to "if a man rapes your daughter, give him your wife also." It's not the same thing. I think many "Christians" would disagree with me, but cowards often label gutlessness as virtue. I think Jesus was talking about refusing a challenge to a fight. Protecting our loved ones from clear and present danger is entirely different. I think the law supports that notion very clearly.
To me, Christianity encompasses the whole western way of life, not just the Megachurches. I think the bill of rights is as true and holy as the 10 commandments. We have clear lines about when we can defend ourselves, we just don't deal with the how part well in the west, "Christians" especially. We don't like to face that evil exists at all. "JUST PRAY HARDER!!!" Then, when something wicked this way comes, we expect the victim to treat the criminal as they would treat an errant child. "Get them the help they need" type of hippie BS.
For addressing the how, I like the idea of Bushido. The way of the warrior. It pairs well with the Bible.
If a criminal pushes a moral man to the point he must use force, they deserve to meet a samurai, not a therapist.
I think Jesus would agree and so did the founding fathers. The Knights' Templar believed that as well.
I can recommend an excellent book by Charles Kraft called “I Give You Authority”. Changed my whole understanding of prayer. Maybe it will answer some of your questions.
Imho it means enemies with whom you share a group/tribe. If they are true external enemies you dont waste prayers on them - you pray for the ones that you love but have a quarrel with. But that was written at a time when emenies were for the most part people from your own town who shared genetic ancestry with you - so best to pray for them and reach a resolution instead of letting a brawl which could take out two or more adult male members of the tribe. When it comes to enemies abroad this doesnt apply. For example, thou shalt not kill = thou shalt not kill (members of your own tribe who are not presenting an immediate threat to your life). At least thats my take on it. Look at it through group/church dynamics and you will see
I think it's wonderful that you feel led to pray for your enemies, our enemies! It's a great calling! What I feel led to tell you is this, God knows what or who is on your heart because you are His. Maybe framing it that God loves ALL of His children and He would love nothing more than every last one of us to be saved. We know Jesus is our Lord and Savior - our only way to salvation or to gain favor with God. The Holy Spirit is how He communicates with us and us with Him.
Someone once told me that Jesus is a "gentle man". He does not force Himself on anyone. He will knock and wait patiently... He will drop notes in your/our spirit from time to time... it's up to each of us to answer. Praying that anyone who does not know Jesus can come to know Him as you do is a good place to start. If Fauci, Gates, and Schwab are on your heart, God knows this so add these people to "the prayer list of your heart" and you can pray for them along with any additions that God shows you in the coming days, weeks, and months to your ever expanding "prayer list of your heart". This frees you up to speak to your Lord in a natural flow by saying just one phrase. No more struggling to remember names upon names.
That's what I do. It helps me know that I'll never forget someone. Today you may feel led to pray for enemies, tomorrow you may feel led to pray for friends, the prayer list of your/my heart helps to again make sure nobody is forgotten. I certainly pray for people by name but I include always those on my list.
Be blessed fren!! I hope this helps if it feels right for you!
