Unfortunately it isn’t just the families of the patients/children that stay at Ronald McD houses - the children many times do as well. For example, if a child has cancer and is undergoing chemo and the hospital is many miles from home, the family (including the child) are eligible to stay. That’s just one example. My daughter once had a major surgery in a hospital that was 3.5 hours drive from home. We stayed while she was in hospital, and she stayed there with us after she was released until she was cleared to make the trip home.

I think we Americans have a hard time understanding Canada and their mentality. It's not a real country. It's a globohomo land mass and nothing more. The average Canadian does not have substance or any redeeming qualities. How is that for medical empathy. I remember to this day, with my mother in hospice in the hospital, a team of doctors coming in and saying, “When are you going to move her? This isn’t a hospice facility!” Nice hah? And I worked as an RN at that hospital. That was in 2007. Now if that happened I would tell them all to get the fuck out.
We see a children’s hospital in a large city. This hospital also has a large corporation sponsoring a “hospitality housing” for families of patients to the children’s hospital. Our family had not been allowed to stay there during our daughter’s treatment. This is in a very red state. They offered a printed list of possible accommodations at local hotels who had discounted rates. 🙄🤪
The lucky ones will be evicted. The rest will end up as BigMacs. Fuck Rotten Ronnie's.
