It's looks like a set up to me. Now we have a number of states investigating. I think GoFundMe is toast.
How many donations have I given to those needing help who never got their money? No clue.
That was always the problem for me; too many question marks plus blind trust. It’s a great business model, but what charities or foundations can be trusted anymore? Just noticed your name; were you at Fort Campbell?

I started a GFM project a couple years ago; a quite small goal was set. The only person who donated was my sister :) Because the goal wasn't met, donaters needed (just the one) to request a refund. She didn't and they kept her donation. If you go on the GFM site, you find that there are thousands? of projects that don't meet their goal. The question becomes, how many people bother to request a refund of $5 or $10? I don't know if GFM is a money laundering operation, but it certainly is scammish.

This worked out in our favor. Exposed GoFraudMe to the world and truckers will still get millions, maybe even surpassing the original goal. Now GFM is even facing legal challenges from multiple States. I don't see any negatives to what happened here.

According to the organizers of the GoFundMe account, when they originally set it up they were only hoping for a few thousand bucks. They were completely unprepared for what happened.
