I used to get blank stares from people back in 2015 when it was Trump vs Hillary and the question would come up why vote for Trump?
I would ask, are you happy with the current direction of our country? The lefties would always say NO. Then I would ask, then why vote for Hillary who was in the state department for a large chunk and is personally responsible for a chunk of that America today? (Blank stare)
I would say a vote for Trump is a vote for someone OUTSIDE that system. We aren't going to change anything by voting for the same people causing the issues. (Blank stare)
Not just term limits. No bill should ever again be passed by the elected. It has to be voted on by the voters. These people can't be trusted with shit.
Respectfully offer 1 term as the limit, and an additional limit to 24 months/lifetime to work in DC. The office staff is as much or more of a problem as the elected positions.
AND, I don’t want it “efficient “, seems more bad comes than good.
Best wishes, your plan is much better than current.
If the potus is limited to 2 terms (8 yrs) then so should the rest of the "elected" persons. And they can not go from Senator to congressmen and vice versa.
THey also can only serve total of 8 total years as a cabinet member
You can't let someone have a lifetime appointment on the Supreme Court. They need to be sharp and have all their faculties. Look at demented Pres. Corn-pop and Ruth snoozing.
But also term limits for their staffers too! Some of the DC staffers have been there longer than the politicians! Term limits should probably be 4 years for everything, like with the presidency.
I saw an interview 8 or 10 months ago (Mel K I think) where they talked about this. These are the people who run the goobermint, and they refer to politicians as "trasients".
Term limits would make it harder, but not impossible, for the globohomos to get their puppets in. Unfortunately secret combinations seem to be a human institution. If we’re going to prevent the same thing from happening again we will need to rethink many things, including terms.
It should be illegal to run for reelection. Make the terms longer, but no second terms until you've sat out one or two terms. This would solve a lot of the problem.

That's what happens when you push back against their programming
Pelosi got in for the looks, and stayed for the crooks.
Yeah... she was a cutie. I'm a sucker for evil, narcissistic bitches. Sigh...
WAS......... Before electricity.
It looks like it's been more like 65 years.
Start with reducing government by 85% or more.

And no pork. One topic per bill.
And one hour of debate per page.
1 term in my opinion is just short for any position, u do need experienced ppl to run the show but there definitely should be a limit but not that low

I wonder if the concept of term limits was considered by the Founding Fathers.
Originally, there were no term limits for prez or VP, and of course none for Congress or judges.
Anyone know if the subject was ever debated at the Constitutional Convention?
Maybe their history of having a king and "House of Lords," etc. was such that nobody really thought much about how important term limits might be
America's most wanted..... or LEAST wanted!

Term Limits For ALL government employees.
1000% agree. Staffers, janitors, IRS agents, DOE morons, FDA idgits, and so on.
ESPECIALLY SUPREME COURT JUSTICES!

Respectfully disagree. Elected positions should have term limits. The SC should probably have an age limit.
Otherwise it's an even more politicized post without any stability.

This!!!!

Complete annual forensic financial audits, for each of them and their families.
We the People have to fix this because they wont!
It’s not just the politicians we have to worry about, it’s the government “staff” as well and I’m not sure how you would solve that problem

Career Crims!
Conventions of States make it happen.
This time!
