Blocking a border is actually pretty ridiculous, unless it's in protest to illegal immigration. There's a lot that goes on in border transfers and we'd all be furious if BLM protested the border up north by shutting it down.
Also, people need to stop placing all-or-nothing hope in any one event, movement, moment, person, group, country, lawsuit, indictment, hearing, election, etc, etc.
It's 100% OK if the trucker protest moves some mountains, but doesn't take us all the way to glory. If the trucker convoy were to stop tomorrow, it is still very much true that NCSWIC.
One of the most amazing things already accomplished by the protests is the reveal of the tyrants. Troodoh using the emergency powers is big, but New Zealand and France busting out the batons and beating protesters is absolutely huge. Nothing lights a spark like police brutality in the midst of simmering frustration.

I did assume and still do that the person responsible for putting together the Charter of rights and freedoms would know more how it all works than the rest of us.
