Doesn't sound like they have any such plan. They have a leader who is dictating their movements and his plan is to drive around the beltway a couple times. Then the next day they will do it more times. And then more the next day. Apparently they plan to do this until they are out of funds. And they might go to other locations at some point . The guy makes it super-clear that the convoy's only purpose is to "show how many of us there are" which is not really the same as change and reminds me of a pride parade. And he constantly tells people not to actually go anywhere (like DC, where the convoy was supposed to be headed in the first place) or do anything (like legally protest) because it might provoke the police and they could end up in jail.
Because it's not a blockade. This guy is taking good legal advice. Some people here are falsely claiming there is no plan. One of the most effective advertising there is happens to be on the road. It's a captive audience. Watch out for the naysayers and those that bear false witness.
I watched the video of their meeting. He clearly receives input from the truckers themselves and clearly asks for it. He didn't strike me as a tyrant.
It seems to me that God is providing opportunity for truckers to know US and for us to know them, and for them to get to meet each other--to see the real people behind the CB (Citizens Band) radio.
yeah that's not the plan here, in fact they are doing the opposite of tightening their belts. They seem to have been taken over by a probable fed who has decided apparently that they will be driving in circles around the beltway X number of times per day, with X increasing daily. So they are not blocking off anything. Literally their entire plan is to burn a million dollars a day in gas until it's gone, and not really protest.
The difference is that J6 actually involved crimes (not saying they were wrong or that it was a big deal, or even that they "should" have been arrested), whereas protesting is not a crime at all in this country (in fact it's a God-given right). In fact, people protest in DC all the time and don't get arrested for it.
How is wasting a million dollars a day in gas by driving in a circle (and increasing the frequency each day), and doing this in different locations (but not any important one or the one that literally everyone thought they were going to) going to produce any change on vaccine mandates (or whatever this is about; I'm not really sure because all the guy in the video says on the matter is that the purpose is to "show them how many of us there are" or something like that).
I honestly think that guy is a fed. He keeps telling people not to do anything (legal) to provoke the police, don't go into DC because we don't want to get arrested, etc. I see him constantly controlling the narrative and making high-level decisions that turn the convoy into nothing but a super-expensive road trip. Constantly spreading fear about people exercising their legal rights. I doubt this is what many of the convoy intended, maybe that is why he gets booed by someone near the beginning. Why did they drive across the entire country to DC only to not even enter it?
The Canada convoy went into Ottawa and parked. These guys aren't even going to go into DC at all, much less protest.
Is there actually any governance going on in Washington DC? If the trucks block the beltway, that will probably prevent anyone from driving in or out of there.
"...., whereas protesting is not a crime at all in this country (in fact it's a God-given right). In fact, people protest in DC all the time and don't get arrested for it."
The word 'Evil' means there are no rules. The goal posts move whenever necessary to win. People protest in DC all the time. This is true, but in the "Animal Farm" it is also true that, "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others ".
"How is wasting a million dollars a day in gas by driving in a circle (and increasing the frequency each day), and doing this in different locations (but not any important one or the one that literally everyone thought they were going to) going to produce any change on vaccine mandates (or whatever this is about; I'm not really sure because all the guy in the video says on the matter is that the purpose is to "show them how many of us there are" or something like that)."
Ben Swan talks J6 and the Canadian trucker convoy and how the governments used very similar tactics to undermine the effort. Even though the events were very different, the response was similar. The American trucker here is well advised. He knows there is a trap that the DC feds have laid down. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know this. Circling the Capital Beltway is actually very good idea. Their not entering federal jurisdiction and avoid being treated as 'squatters'. The best captive audience one can have is moving around on the beltway. The entire eastern seaboard from Boston to Miami have to use the DC beltway to go north or south.
"I honestly think that guy is a fed. He keeps telling people not to do anything to provoke the police, don't go into DC because we don't want to get arrested, etc. I see him constantly controlling the narrative and making high-level decisions t hat turn the convoy into nothing but a super-expensive road trip."
I disagree with you. One could argue you're a government provocateur for wanting violence. I wouldn't accuse you of this because I have no real evidence of this. Likewise you have no real evidence. I hope the truckers take my advice as I posted earlier and stay out of the federal jurisdiction of Washington DC. It sure looks like a trap.
You say here that I'm a "provocacteur" for wanting violence. I never said I wanted violence. What I actually (very clearly) said was that people should protest legally. You're just making shit up.
All you are doing is spreading the same fear (don't protest or you could be arrested). If it's your god-given right but you don't do it because you're afraid they might arrest you anyway, then you are simply handing your rights away. Use it or lose it, that was the whole damn point of the convoy. You have already thrown in the towel. Obviously the DC convoy is meaningless without going into DC or protesting. I don't believe that's what the members wanted (though I can't speak for them) and I suspect we will be hearing from some of them when this is all over, about how the guy handling the money ruined the whole thing by dictating that free speech and protest were not to be part of the plan.
If people don't even exercise their legal rights then the government doesn't need to violate our rights and deal with the social and government changes that could eventually result from that, because people are so afraid of them that they don't even speak up (welcome to Communism).
Can you read or understand English? Please read what I wrote again.
The definition of 'Evil' is not playing by the rules (laws) and always keep moving the goal posts. Bearing false witness is a preferred method. It is written that one has to be as wise as a serpent to avoid evil. The federal jurisdiction of Washington DC is Evil.
Hiding from evil is not always enough, sometimes you have to challenge it, even if only with peaceful protest. I thought that was what they were trying to do.
Kinda weird there has been zero coverage anywhere other than live streams from truckers. I mean, awaken with jp, mark dice, benny johnson, ABL, tatum, salty, etc... Nothing... Whack
Even here it seems like there is no enthusiasm and activity like there was when the Freedom Convoy was going down in Canada; but maybe some of us anons are too busy getting involved to be busy here!
I feel like I’ve heard nothing about the convoy at all like we did about the Canadian one. I assumed it was because of all the Ukrainian drama, which I’m sure the Deep State loves. They get their war conflict and a distraction from freedom fighters in the US. 🙄
Well, you've got this guy leading the thing that keeps every 5 minutes warning people to do literally nothing but keep driving (expensive/drains funds and doesn't do anything but jam up traffic and piss off normies), don't act up or piss anyone off because it might provoke action by the cops, make sure to stay in the designated lane, "if you don't like it this is not the convoy for you", etc. "I hope nobody goes 'home running' into town because they will be stopped, and they will end up in jail." He says that the sole purpose of the convoy is to "show people how many of us there are" or something like that. He talks about all these people are covering the thing and there's all this (social/)media coverage, and it sort of sounds like he's involved in facilitating that, but I haven't really been seeing a lot of this coverage.
Near the beginning it sounded like someone was booing, and I thought, "what a dick". But then the guy was talking about some other lady who was (it seemed to me) a leader, and informing people that she had "left to visit family" or something like that. I wonder what that family emergency was, or if there is more to that story. It seems like others in the convoy had been asking questions and were concerned. If she left for a family emergency, why didn't she speak to the convoy about it herself (not blaming her but just saying there might be more to the story there).
What the Canadians did was passive but disruptive. They very efficiently went somewhere and parked to protest, and the funds they received went toward things like food. If they don't park and protest indefinitely then this is just one of thousands of minor protests that will do nothing and get minimal coverage for it.
This guy is actually telling people not to do legal things so they don't get arrested. If the convoy can't even exercise its legal right to protest, how is that supposed to produce any change at all? I'm not out there so I can't judge anyone for how they decide to do things, and for sure I understand that it doesn't help for anyone to go to jail.
I don't see how this convoy is supposed to produce serious change if all they do is drive. It is exhausting, uncomfortable, and demoralizing, and time spent perpetually on the road is time that the people who actually came out to protest can't even "be together" (in fellowship), form an internal community, or protest. They already get only minimal coverage. How long can that situation last? I'm not sure but I think near the beginning he discussed the possibility of going to other locations to be potentially discussed later, but that only makes them less effective because if they just spend a day here and a day there, and they never enter any key locations, then they are just minimizing the impact in any particular location, and draining funds. He says, "we're going to make 2 rounds today and then we're going to increase the frequency (!)". I don't think that's why some of these people came out, but maybe I'm wrong. I thought they were trying to do something like what they did in Canada (legally protest vaccine mandates), even at the possible cost of provoking a reaction. I didn't hear a word of that in this video. If they are already voluntarily waiving their right to protest then what exactly is the purpose of this convoy? I'm seriously asking, why are people there? What are they protesting and what are they trying to achieve? I'm not sure I know anymore.
Let’s discuss… when you drive through any major thoroughfare, there’s typically a loop (beltway) that circles the straightest route. Through DC, it’s 495 off of I95. It helps to keep traffic ebbing and flowing. In times of traffic (rush hours) people take the beltways to “circle back”. DC and most NE states are older so they weren’t built with suburbs in mind. DC is my nemesis on cross country road trips. I like to drive with the truckers and usually time my departure so I sail through, leaving around 2AM so I don’t hit traffic. Have some faith pedes! These wonderful truckers know exactly what they’re doing to disrupt the ebb and flow! We got dis!
It's good they are doing the Capital Beltway and not going into the federal jurisdiction of Washington DC. They recognize a J6 entrapment.
I read beltway and deep inside I hope they surround DC like a belt. It’s about time we collectively tighten our belt.
Blockade DC off from the rest of the nation sounds like a good start to take our country back!
Doesn't sound like they have any such plan. They have a leader who is dictating their movements and his plan is to drive around the beltway a couple times. Then the next day they will do it more times. And then more the next day. Apparently they plan to do this until they are out of funds. And they might go to other locations at some point . And he constantly tells people not to actually go anywhere (like DC, where the convoy was supposed to be headed in the first place) or do anything (like legally protest) because it might provoke the police and they could end up in jail.
He can't overtly state that it is a deliberate blockade can he - he risks being falsely accused of an attack on DC.
Because it's not a blockade. This guy is taking good legal advice. Some people here are falsely claiming there is no plan. One of the most effective advertising there is happens to be on the road. It's a captive audience. Watch out for the naysayers and those that bear false witness.
Ok let's see what comes from all of this then.
consider the meme of all the pawns cornering the King Queen and Bishops..
That's a fantasy and clearly not what they (or the leadership, rather) intend.
You are not looking at this through war-tinted glasses.
Maybe it is a test?
I watched the video of their meeting. He clearly receives input from the truckers themselves and clearly asks for it. He didn't strike me as a tyrant.
It seems to me that God is providing opportunity for truckers to know US and for us to know them, and for them to get to meet each other--to see the real people behind the CB (Citizens Band) radio.
Yeah. Looks like it will wither faster than the Canadian's.

They have it blocked off

They don't want to get arrested. Imo they should just go to DC, park, and legally protest indefinitely.
If you've ever been in the area, that is like a typical day
The word 'Evil' means there are no rules. The goal posts move whenever necessary to win. People protest in DC all the time. This is true, but in the "Animal Farm" it is also true that, "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others ".

They could drive slowly, it would save gas....

It's a fed poster trying to lure or bait patriots to go into the foreign occupied zone called DC. Deport.
Hiding from evil is not always enough, sometimes you have to challenge it, even if only with peaceful protest. I thought that was what they were trying to do.
You ignored the most important part. Are you as wise as a serpent? By what you're advocating, I wonder.

PS BASED MODS -- please break this list out into its own sticky post to be updated throughout the day
Our local left leaning rag had the following headline: Hundreds of trucks, vehicles roll through N.J. on ‘freedom convoy’.
There are 2 different convoys. The Peoples Convoy and American Freedom Convoy.
There may be two and they may have different names but they are both freedom convoys.
Tell that to the lefty rag trying to downplay the event.
Kinda weird there has been zero coverage anywhere other than live streams from truckers. I mean, awaken with jp, mark dice, benny johnson, ABL, tatum, salty, etc... Nothing... Whack

Fingers crossed, I was gonna make the trek but flying solo in a leftist stronghold... So many sheep amongst us
That's because an occupation of the Capitol and honking is way cooler than "we're going to slow roll the beltway TWICE each day until they submit!"
