Talk is talk....and can happen after school....out of the classroom. When lets say Xemxelves teacher is at local faggot bar.......thats a long scary walk to parking lot....especially with pissed parents. Just saying. There is other ways to handle this shit.
Who said anything about hurting them....a conversation about right and wrong.....is mayhbe in order. A level headed un moderated pure discussion. No set up no nothing....right on the spot. Make them PROVE to you how this is better...then you can PROVE they are a pedo groomer/enabler
That might be a better group discussion for say a church youth group than in school, plus it wouldn’t eliminate the possibility of pedophile presence, but greatly minimize it and parents could choose to be present
Let’s just ban any deviation from the basics in the classroom. Sex education should be taught by parents. If they want the school to do it let them get a medical panel together (vetted by the parents as to exactly how it will be presented), parents sign a release and children can attend on Saturday, outside of school hours. Video tape it for evidence that parents wishes as to what is discussed is followed. Make it age appropriate dealing with basic differences, emphasizing consequences financially, physically, emotionally and life altering of engaging in sex within and outside of marriage-pros and cons. This could be an elective- 1 college credit for high school students. Very brief education for younger ages. Neutral teaching. Briefly discussing heterosexual, homeosexual and bisexual differences without in any cases getting into a how to or graphics. The education system is doing a poor job as is, so we need to get back to basics: English-spelling, letter formation, resume writing, sentence formation, cursive writing, reading comprehension; math; sciences.
I agree, Fifth and Sixth grade are the right time to start this. Both boys and girls at this time will be seeing some changes in their bodies, so preparation needs to begin somewhere. Anything other than the basic facts of life doesn't need to part of that preparation, IMHO, with the exception of explaining why abstinence is the best option, from both a scientific and moral standpoint.
We had a brief sex ed section of health in freshman yr high school back in about 1984 which required consent form signed by parents and covered biology parts andbtheir purpose, stages of pregnancy and avoiding date rape. The same year we also had self defense briefly in PE
Like the God given functions of body parts, actual biology what a healthy godly relationship looks like and how to avoid date rape and self defense for any situation as part of it. In High School only.
It was in regards to the hetero, homo and bi comment. Where I'm from, abstinence based sex-ed is taught in 6th. And that's ok bc it contains none of the inappropriate and unnecessary content.
If you separate the boys from the girls at the junior high level, and build on the abstinence based foundations that were suggested for fifth and sixth grades , maybe not- it's around the time most can choose shop or Home Ec...
Teens are going to be teens, and regardless of if they have sex education or not, they Will start exploring the bodies of each other's and the feelings and sensations that come with it. Always has, always will continue to happen, teens are filled with crazy hormones and a huge biological urge to act on such hormones. Not so long ago, babies at 14-18 were very, very normal.
Even in the best homes, teen sex still happens; there was a post here just the other day about someone's 16 year old or so daughter miscarrying. If kids don't know the realities of sex, potential consequences, attitudes concerning consent, or proper birth control usages, it'll just lead to more teen pregnancies, or other problems. This can lead to more abortions as well when kids are not educated. When has telling a teenager not to do something worked? It certainly won't help as they're rocked with hormones either. Best you can do is provide them the best info available to minimize risk and help keep them safe. If they don't have that information, they will be flying blind and maybe getting themselves into situations they don't know the context of or potential consequences. And yes, this is happening by 6-7th grade sometimes. Most definitely is common by 9-10th grade and up.
Ahh, yes! Good one, also important. I believe outdoor survival skills are also important, though the parents who know can teach that. So sad that Boy and Girls Scouts went so South
or attend in later afternoon class or elective (highschool level) I agree, the elementary grades don't need it so much, parents should be the ones to sit down and explain the changes the male and female bodies go through in puberty. (preferably same-sex parent- fathers speak to boys, mothers speak to girls) Then explain the sex-ed things necessary at that time. Explaining too much before puberty is just likely to confuse children anyway.
Agree, except children might be uncomfortable asking questions with parents present. Hopefully the facilitator could be well vetted by parents beforehand. Maybe a video hook up with parents in another room to intervene as needed?
"Oh, NO! What happened to the teacher/assistant/administrator/board member who was teaching the kids about sex?"
"Well, it was terrible but Xhe/Xhr got their head stuck in a BUNCH of wet concrete. You know how that happens. But after the concrete dried - before they could clean it off - Xhe/Xhr 'accidentily fell' off of a bridge, 200 feet high - into some water 400 feet deep. It could happen to anybody. Just one of those things. Public school involved teachers / assistants / administrators / board members / politicians / minor-attracted-persons should really learn to be careful around wet concrete and also, around bridges. Private school workers and members of the general public should learn, as well.
Good ideas, however I would like to add, they accidently wrapped a noose around their neck and cinched it tight then when the fell off a bridge landed on a barge which overturned in the deepest part of the ocean.
Depends on where you are. I don't believe DeSantis went far enough, but it's a better stand than most other places have.
Sun_wolf is absolutely right here, as well:
Children cannot consent to sexual education of any kind. They are below the age of consent. That is why the parents are the ones who provide consent for their children and the teachers are wrong because the parents DO NOT CONSENT.
I would simply add that it is the parent's right and duty to provide sexual education, since they are the keepers of the child's innocence. To teach children behind a parent's back about it is wrong, and depending on what and how it is taught, could be considered grooming.

Amen Those who can, I highly recommend homeschooling

As fun as vigilante justice would be, imagine if they were ACTUAL victims instead of fake ones like they are now?

Conversation about right and wrong? That should do it. Yeah right. Way past that.
As I always say on here, enemies only talk for so long.
And if police are defunded then we have no other recourse
Amen Amen Amen

Agreed in the last part of your comment

I would include Jr. High in this, and from a moral perspective.
Mmm, i’m not so sure they are ready at that age even. Most are too immature
As BQnita suggested:

Agreed, this is good

Yeah. My great grandmother was 14 when she got married
Mine too 14. 1928.
They had eleven kids
Too soon. We didn't even have it when I grew up. We didn't stay stupid, we figured it out.
Home ec and agriculture, learning finance management are also a must. Get back to life skills

Nothing of homosexual or any other abominable things should be taught!! That is unnatural and condemned by God.
Might I also add, have a couple of parents sit in also to keep the teacher on track
Agree, except children might be uncomfortable asking questions with parents present. Hopefully the facilitator could be well vetted by parents beforehand. Maybe a video hook up with parents in another room to intervene as needed?
Grooming kids to accept pedophiles as normal so the next gen will pass laws making minor attracted kids a normal thing.
No, that will get you a millstone.

Pretty sure that message is missing something.
Liberalism is a mental disorder.
It'll get you fired AT
