Why does it matter if their stock plummets, anyways? Who cares? They can just manipulate the market and put it to wherever they want it too, anyways.
Elon has never once said that we need to transition entirely to electric. He is vocal against the woke Climate Change movement, and supports the oil industry. He (the man running the EV company that you fear) called for the United States to resume all oil production immediately, calling it highly irresponsible to stop production of oil. Another large venture of Tesla is creating large battery farms to help stabilize our power grid.
He founded a company that is building brain implants, with the intent of curing/treating debilitating mental disorders. He is very vocal about the dangers of this technology, as well as AI, which is why he's involved himself in both ventures (he fears the technology as much as we do, and he wants influence over the inevitable furtherance of the technology).
Why would it? A billionaire purchasing 10% of a stock will only ever raise the price of that stock.
The millions upon millions of shareholders that the board have a fiduciary duty to, care, deeply.
So why would selling it matter? He bought it from someone, someone else will buy it. And we're arguing about fake numbers on a screen anyways. They can set the stock price to whatever they want.

Him purchasing it makes it go up because people see his purchase and buy. Him selling makes it go down because people see him sell and get scared and sell too.

It's worse than that. If he has announced an intention to sell, then it motivates other shareholders to dump their own shares BEFORE the price drops from his sale.

This option ^ and option 3 are the only 2 real options. DWAC isn’t buying Twitter and Twitter isn’t going bankrupt. It boggles my mind how many people are running with this DWAC/Twitter merger based on literally not one piece of evidence or even a solid lead. Just pure speculation.
A lot of people here are retired boomers with nothing better to do than waste their time coming up with baseless theories for the fun of it without taking into account any evidence or logic. Musk intends to take Twitter private but yeah, they'd never merge. Twitter is way ahead on the infrastructure front and has way more users. TS offers nothing in a merger other than the presence of Trump

Why do you say that
The purpose of DWAC is to merge/buy out a private company and take it public. There’s hundreds of acquisition companies just like it..(SPACs). This isn’t some special operation deployed by trump to buy up companies. I honestly do not know why so many people that are very intelligent have done zero research on what DWAC is, and hear them say ridiculous thing like “Trumps acquisition company might buy Twitter or CNN!!”.
I’ve heard the X22 guy say it a few times as well. He probably needs to talk to someone who is an expert in SPACs, because what he id saying makes him sound silly.
I’d bet that DWAC can’t even legally buy twitter or any public company for that matter.
Now.. Trump Media could. But I highly doubt that as well. And I’d be willing to say Twitters board would deny any such offer..

Musk never makes an official offer. Nothing changes on Twitter.
I don't know if people have short memories or are only now paying attention to him, but Musk has consistently engaged in this type of thing (announcing some huge thing he intends to do) and never follows up on it.
Going to take a guess and say most people here won't even remember this latest attention whoring from him 6 months from now.
