I spent a majority of my 20s as an atheist. A smug one at that. And every year my grandpa would send me a "He is risen!" text message and I would respond with "He is risen indeed!" it wasn't done with any meaning behind it for me it was literally just because I knew it made my grandparents happy.
This is the first year where I sent "He is risen!" to them first, and it was said with belief and conviction and I can't put into words how good it felt.

Is there a church with a more somber style of service? All the music and games are kind of distracting at the churches I've been to. I just think it's kind of off-putting how only like 10% of the service is spent on actual scripture and stuff from the Bible and the rest is all music and dancing and spectacle basically, it just strikes me as too close to idolatry/paganism.
Which is due to the lack of faith in so many and the strong presence of evil in the world, which is why faith is so important.

Salvation of the soul is not what dude meant though. He’s talking about preventing fascism. God does not want us to sit idle. Sure you can sit idle and still be saved but that’s not the issue here.
