The hardest slaves to free are those that believe they are free. Or perhaps those content with their bondage?

That's more about ignorance and mental slavery (normiehood) than institutional slavery. One can be (and is) an institutional slave to society but be mentally free, such as someone who critically thinks and has high situational awareness of their institutional slavery, high vigilance to large sweeping sea changes and geopolitical maneuvers that will affect them; and have the skills and knowledge to navigate them. That is what it is to be red pilled.

Every one of us are debt slaves and barely anyone realizes it. The debt each and every one of us owes via government debt makes us ALL slaves. At least until the White Hats free us of it.

The ceilings are clearly higher now. Stop complaining about slave quarters. Progress has clearly been made. They even have laptops!

And only a few of them actually work! 4 hours a week, like Twitter employees!

Yup…right here. So this is not for college kids? It’s for actual grown ass adults??

I believe It was introduced for people who commute or travel for work. Cheaper than hotel or having a studio apartment. I also think this was before AirBnB and VRBO became popular.

Dorm rooms to appeal to the leftist perpetual adolescents.

And the see through walls? That's an absurd lack of privacy, morning wood would be on full display but some of the exhibitionists probably want that I guess.

Mcmurdo32 2 points ago +2 / -0

This was a deliberate design of the pod. The residents aren't supposed to have privacy. They are encouraged to be one big happy family. It should be noted that in LA, they pay a rent similar to what might rent a 2000 square foot house where I live.

2
KickingPugilist 2 points ago +2 / -0

2000 Sq foot for 800 a month?

That's a gifted price.

2
Mcmurdo32 2 points ago +2 / -0

I was remembering the Podshare price from an article I read several months ago.

Tiny houses give me the same vibe. It's just a way to take resources from people.

4
ghost_of_aswartz 4 points ago +4 / -0

Sort of....

Tiny house 'communities' 100% what you're saying

But most tiny houses are placed onto large land, so that you can appreciate the land and spend more time on it than building a big house. It lets people with less, have and spend less on more land than if they bought a big house

Problem with tiny houses is that couples who don't know each other well enough are put closer together until they self-destruct. You have to live with someone for at least 7 yrs to be comfortable to be squished closer together.

Also, you have to basically 'give the other space' by leaving the tiny house and letting them 'have it to themselves for a while'

This is actually dumb. It would be better to have TWO tiny houses, or a tiny house and then an annex tiny house that's ALL a studio / workshop or office; and that way, one can retreat to it while the other is in the house.

You can share a bed, sharing a bathroom is annoying, but KITCHEN is hard, and other living space being always together is hard. People need space, just like plants and trees need space

Sad, sad people put up with it.

6
Cpleb 6 points ago +6 / -0

Not only put up, enjoy. They’ve been conditioned for decades. Think back to all the sci fi future movies. Everyone lives in a pod. Albeit a much larger pod but pod none the less. And they never have kids.

Not slaves but adult children who want to not take responsibility for there own lives.

Did you happen to see the rabbit cages that Chinese people were living in?

They did this voluntarily, and yet, they were slaves--to society

We're all slaves, but the Chinese factory workers living in highrises in a RABBIT CAGE are the worse. It's an outrage that people are forced to live that way in 2022, and we should focus on that.

Honestly, looking at the above looks like the Embassy Suites compared to rabbit cages

Where are the rabbits?

Oh. These aren't rabbit hutches?

We seem to be moving towards Chinese factory slave labor standards. This is one step above tech workers sleeping in their cars.

Where do I store my guns?

And tools?

And park my F-250. And the other F-250?

1
numina18 1 point ago +1 / -0

This is meaningless. Slaves had no choice as to where they lived. These people put themselves in pods. It's up to them.
