Everyone I know over 35 has thyroid issues. Can this be from what Q posted about chemicals in cleaning products? And does anyone know a cure? Ivermectin or something?
posted 4 years ago by Honor+Duty 4 years ago by Honor+Duty +56 / -0

There has to be some link. Thyroid issues should be rare. Big pharma has a customer for life it seems.

No one gets enough iodine to combat the issues they're getting. Iodine deficiency is real.

Fluoride that’s in our water creates iodine deficiency. Also, specifically for women, hormonal birth control affects thyroid. Actually it’s predominantly women that have thyroid issues.

Iodine supplementation in children can increase IQ. Also, supplementing with iodine during pregnancy is important for the child’s intelligence.

The only prescription I take is for my thyroid, and it's a low dose. Without it, I am lethargic and foggy. I am up for any suggestions for how to not need it.

Look into Iodine Protocol by Dr. Brownstein. Some of his patients were able to reverse hypothyroidism.

I am in UK. Don't know anyone with thyroid issues.

I use Lugol's iodine..Amazon..when I think about it..just three drops on skin. Vi eat fish and I use himalayan salt..it has 80 odd trace elements including iodine. I never use ordinary salt.

No. I like salty food and use a lot of Himalayan salt say ..on chips! But when I realise it's getting too much I take nat mur one of the 12 tissue salts homeopathic tablets weleda make or new era. I know craving salt means I am lacking in nat mur. I don't eat much in ready meals..I make my own.

I don't know if you are aware of tissue salts...a biochemist discovered a body is made up of 12 tissue salts and a lack of one salt will produce different illnesses.

The UK royal family use a homeopathic doctor..they have to do an additional five years study for a degree in homeopathic medicine....the queen carries a case of remedies when she leaves the palace. Certainly the family are long lived.

You can research online...it will certainly help you to use them.

Filter drinking water and add back iodine liquid supplement. I personally also add back boron and put in some MMS post-filtration.

Thyroid issues are also known to be widely mis-diagnosed as the tests are greatly inaccurate. Docs just go with it because big pharma wants people to be on prescriptions.

Look into keto. Dr. Stephen Phinney has doctors conferences on YouTube. I’ve seen a lot of people say it helped with thyroid issues. He sees patients and will email back.

I recently started a modified keto diet and intermittent fasting because I had read it helps reduce inflammation. I have a ton of military related joint and back issues and other things and I would say in one month, 95% of pain is gone. I dropped 13 lbs. I wasn’t looking to lose weight but out of desperation, I felt like I needed to try something. Grains bothered me, dairy bothered me, I couldn’t eat anything without GI issues and I was so tired. Arthritic. So I tried it and within days felt better. I still take Aleve in the morning but pain is mostly gone and nothing helped before.

So I said “modified” because I don’t want to say I adhere to it religiously (there are a lot of prepackaged “keto” products that I am very skeptical about, plus they’re expensive so-no) but I stopped drinking beer completely. Stopped grains, stopped fruit except for limited raspberries, blueberries, strawberries and lemons and I keep everything simple. No processed foods. I just buy meat, eggs and lots of green vegs and stay away from the higher sugar vegs (such as carrots, tomatoes etc) and the miracle is that I can have basically any dairy without my stomach going crazy like it used to. So probably it was the grains. I love pasta..... but I cut that out and no bread or rice though you can substitute some things like cauliflower for pizza crust etc. It makes cooking a lot easier because it’s so simple.

The intermittent fast is- I just eat lunch at noon and dinner around 6pm. Nothing between. I used to always eat breakfast but after 3-4 days, I’m not missing it. Way more energy. I’m cold now and I used to be hot all the time. Everything is different. Sleeping better, working out better.

This is getting long but I was very skeptical about keto and now I’ve tried it, I think it could be valuable for some people.

Iodine and selenium. 90%+ of Westerners are deficient. Both are important to take together.

permalink save report block reply
▲ 2 ▼
– patriot68 2 points 4 years ago +2 / -0

Most of us are deficient in iodine and our thyroids starve for it. The thyroid requires iodine to create the most important thyroid hormones. Lacking iodine, the thyroid will attempt to use whatever is closest to it in the periodic table, which includes fluoride, chlorine, and bromine. The resulting hormones are faulty and do not work.

There's a book named: Iodine Why You Need it, Why You can't Live Without It. You can download a copy at:

https://archive.org/details/iodine-why-you-need-it-why-you-cant-live-without-it-pdf-room

And if anyone needs meds for thyroid issues, have your doc or find one who will prescribe natural porcine or bovine thyroid meds such as Acella NP. Don't get on Synthroid - doesn't work and it's big pharma.

I've been wondering Iodine could be the problem.

permalink save report block reply
▲ 2 ▼
– test_pattern 2 points 4 years ago +2 / -0

The gland synthesizes hormones by combining Iodine with Tyrosine. Iodine deficiency is one concern, but it’s not only a matter of bioavailability.

Iodine is in the Halogen family of elements. (If you ever wondered why you had to learn about the Periodic Table...). Other halogens — chlorine, fluorine, and bromine, share similar chemical bonding properties and compete with iodine uptake and utilization.

Bromated foods, perchlorate, fluoridated water, as well as a wide range of endocrine disrupting chemicals interfere by binding to hormone receptors and modifying gene expression.

Big pharma benefits, but is not the direct cause.

I ditched ALL synthetic fragrances in EVERY product in my house and I utilized an essential oil blend that literally shrunk my thyroid. I used to have a goiter and it made my neck noticeably “larger” in the front and affected my lady cycle. After 3-4 months of applying twice a day it started getting smaller. Not only visibly but I could feel it losing its mass. That was 7-8 years ago and it’s never gone back to that size or changed since. I maybe apply the essential oil blend once a month now just to offer support. We also drink pure water at our house, that can also affect thyroid health.

I can’t tell you the amount of each single oil, but the blend I used contains spearmint, sesame seed oil (I’m assuming for dilution) sage, geranium, myrtle leaf oil, German chamomile and nutmeg.

People need iodine in our diets for thyroid health. In the old days, iodine was added to table salt to help ensure that people were getting iodine.

But not anymore. While nobody was paying attention, many salt manufacturer's stopped adding iodine to salt. Everyone kept eating salt, and never stopped to wonder if that crap they were eating at the fast food restaurants- often overloaded with salt, had any iodine in it or not.

Moral of the story: Be sure to buy table salt that contains iodine- check the ingredients. Or, find other ways to get the iodine you need.
Most all of that fancy, overpriced salt- like sea salt, or Himalayan Pink Salt, and shit like that, does not contain iodine.

Himalayan Sea Salt turns water into super water.

—-

This solution supplies the body with some electrolytes which helps in regulating hydration process.

Some of the major electrolytes contained in the Himalayan salt include, chlorides ions, magnesium ions, calcium ions, potassium ions, and sodium ions.

Since the body absorbs such electrolytes faster than it absorbs water, the consumption of Himalayan salt water leads to faster hydration.

HPS also consists of approximately 85 percent sodium chloride while other minerals including magnesium, calcium, and potassium accounts for about 15 percent. All these minerals acts as electrolytes that are vital for the regulation of bodily fluids.

There are several different types of "thyroid issues", but the most common revolve around either not being able to get a hold of (right side) or not being able to get rid of (left side) something that is wanted/valued. All are psychosomatic in origin.

The resolution is to resolve the psychological conflict...and never, Ever, EVER take any antibiotics or thyroid medication. Both can and often due result in irreversible issues. Killing the bacteria leave you with the growth and messing with your hormones can be devastating, especially thyroxine, can prevent further production by your thyroid if it is used for too long a period.

What is it everyone you know can't get a hold of or get rid of? There's your fix.

Drinking chlorinated tap water is a factor. Fluoride is poison to the thyroid gland. I would say to buy this stellar book but you can download it for free, here

I have this book and absolutely love it. I've been using Iodoral since about 2013. Nothing is a panacea but having iodine for the whole body is crucial.....every cell must have it. The thyroid, breasts, ovaries, prostate all concentrate iodine. Iodoral is Lugol's in tablet form...containing both iodine and potassium iodide. Different tissues use one or the other form. You will love this book.

Sometimes genetics and environment collide- I am 1 of 8 kids- mom had hashimotos, dad hypothyroid, me hypo, brother thyroid cancer (fixed) and 2 sibs being monitored. My endo is a researcher too-- environment is a big factor, but not the only one. Background- I'm a female former athlete with a solid history of clean diet and fitness- Thyroid issues are the underlying cause of so many other issues--hormones especially... My 2 cents; something to do with fluoridated water and other shit they sneak into our food supply

Here's what I think: All Americans eat a lot of wheat products. Wheat is sprayed with bromine, which stays on the wheat and is ingested. The bromine is the same family of elements as iodine. The excessive bromine attaches to the iodine receptors in the thyroid. People do not get enough iodine, generally. So, the outcome of this is thyroid dysfunction.

I’m a guy, who was diagnosed with Graves diseases (hyperthyroidism) and I’ve never had a flu shot or any vaccine. Not for at least a few decades(infant shots). But the salt talk in this thread is interesting. My blood pressure has always been a bit high so I cut way back on my salts and sodium...slowly went into hyper and basically was ar deaths door. Lost over 30 lbs, for a guy was was not overweight, it was very noticeable. They eventually nuked my thyroid, overdose iodine pill thing. And have been on the pill ever since. Sucks to. I’m now at mercy to big pharma. If something big goes down, I got maybe a year to survive. 6 months for sure. Only God could help me then. But it’s ok. We all gotta go eventually.

My 13 year old son developed very severe thyroid issues and it took 2 years for doctors to figure out what was wrong with him. He was incredibly ill, it was terrible.

Because of the entire Covid vaccine debacle we are living through as a society I looked into vaccines and thyroid issues and discovered that the Hepatitis B vaccine has been known to cause Hashimoto’s and other thyroid issues. My son received that vaccine at school in Grade 8 a few months before he got sick.

So I agree with you that vaccines can cause thyroid issues, not just flu vaccines.
