The politics aren't really important in this scenario. You're essentially sidestepping the government and politics within the bounds of the law. It's legal non compliance taken to it's logical end.
Unite and fight the beast system, yes. But I have to strongly disagree with your suggestion of secession. These beasts have infiltrated our country and our society for decades if not centuries, feeding off the hard work of honest Americans, deliberately draining our finances and sickening us, trying to set us against each other, promoting addiction and human trafficking and far worse.
We can turn our backs on businesses that are owned by beasts, supporting patriot-owned ones instead, boycott public firms infested with beasts until the beasts are eradicated, create alternate schooling arrangements for the children and band together with patriots for support and protection while this war wages on, all good ideas.
The beasts don't get a slice of the American pie once people awaken to this. The only "territory" we should cede is the inside of locked jail cells for the lesser minions while the major players on the beast side need to be tried and executed.
That's the word - America. Our God-given republic where only Constitutional law is acceptable. Stand up and stand your ground in your patriotic enclave while others across the country do the same. As the truth reaches more and more people and wakes up the brainwashed amongst us, exposing the beasts for what they truly are, so will the beasts be diminished and eventually (almost) eradicated.
I understand you're in a difficult area in the PNW, but in general patriots outnumber the sheep by a lot. Not even your average, gullible, soyboy liberal is going to stand behind the beasts once he's made to understand what's truly going on with government, big pharma, the military-industrial beasts, fake news propagandists, etc. Disseminate information.
I would argue that the fail-safes implemented in the formation of our Republic are being tested. Yes, the beasts infiltrated and, yes, they will never stop trying to do so. We do need some reforms and loads more checks and balances with respect to government employees, the media, big tech, education, etc. Many citizens became too trusting and, while just my personal opinion, this was largely facilitated by a corrupt media which has manipulated society for decades. It's also my opinion that once the Awakening is "complete" (in a sense), it will be many more decades if not centuries before the beasts will be able to get even a toehold in society again. They'll study what is now their imminent defeat for weaknesses, most certainly, and plan another comeback, but we'll (hopefully) remain vigilant.
I'm curious as to what your ideas might be for a "different system". It's likely a massive topic and one you may not be inclined to delve into at this point in time. It's always interesting to hear other's perspectives on what changes might be best for a healthier society.
That's been tried; did not work out well. The Federal Government is diminishing in power which is mandated by the constitution; States are regaining purview over education and public policy such as elections, gun laws and other areas; as provided in the constitution. It's a slow process and in the end stages those who have usurped power will not relinquish it without a fight. Such fight will not be or require Secession.

I'm glad I don't live in a leftist area. I just heard a bunch of explosions. I think it was fireworks. It might have been some gunfire too. The Mexicans have great fireworks when they burn trash. There are people all over the neighborhood who target practice, and on holidays, we don't have to go anywhere to see great fireworks displays. I'm pretty sure every single house in the neighborhood has weapons. But it feels very safe here.
I think all neighborhoods should from fire on be designed with centers containing those things. Just be careful shops and coops don't become centrally owned and operated chains.
Don't stop. Just dont expect miracle solutions. You can make your street better, maybe your town. And enough people try simultaneously, maybe well fucking get somewhere.
