It is turning male fish female. There are so many women peeing excess estrogen into the water system that female fish are either becoming infertile or developing female fish characteristics.

An autistic person doesn't feel normal. They look at other kids theory age and they don't fit in, the autistic kid doesn't play like the other boys and girls play.
This starts a brain loop that something is wrong with them, eventually leading then to self internalize and believe it must be related to gender, and if they were just the opposite gender, they would then fit in with all the other kids.
Maybe a girl is babied all the time, and she sees how the boys are independent and thanks if she was just a boy maybe her parents wanted baby her all the time.
Maybe a boy never gets any physical attention and sees how the girls always get hugs and thinks maybe if I was just a girl people would actually care about me and love me.
In essence I think it's a societal problem as to why autism can be linked to higher gender dysphoria, maybe hormones help push that over the edge but I doubt that they are the primary cause
There are absolutely older people with autism that when they were growing up the internet did not exist and gender dysphoria was not even a word in the vocabulary and yet they still had gender dysphoria.
This is why I think it's not just hormones but also a feeling of not being normal in the brain and then trying to adapt to see how to feel normal.

I could see how being made to feel that you are different your whole life could lead to looking for a way to fit in or change yourself. However, with ASD also comes the need for structure and change is not easily accepted or managed. So just from personal experience I call BS. This whole gender bullshit is the latest fad and any parent going along with it, is a blatant idiot. I also have a 10 yr old daughter who I had to explain to about real gender dysphoria versus the new popular gender identity crisis and pronouns after a student called her a homophobe for saying there is no such thing as a They. I had to give her details about all this crap before I've even had "the sex talk" with her..There is a tiny portion of the world's population with true gender dysphoria and I empathize with them because that's a very hard life to live. But for the rest of these ppl, they just straight up need a psychiatrist and so do their parents..

They stated that the majority of women with gender dysphoria are also autistic, sounded like it was a "known" thing.
