Current CPI (gamed system) claims 9% which is freaking awful. I expect them to adopt some new measure of inflation soon to make this go away.
The CPI formula used up until 1980 was also rigged. But that now reports something like 17%. Still rigged, but more accurate than today's model.
The original money supply formula for inflation is insane. I don't even know what that reads, but I suspect something like 50% in the past year.
