I’m a 29f and I’ve been in and out of urgent care, the ER, seen specialists over the course of 10+ years and nobody has been able to tell me anything outside of IBS. I assumed I had parasites, even thought I saw them sometimes, but every test I took came out negative, every treatment was ineffective.
Finally, last week, my results came back. I tested positive for C-diff and chronic Epstein-Barr Virus. These are both pretty serious conditions and I’ve had them for over a decade now but the doctor who found the issues is confident he’ll be able to resolve them without drugs.
Please send healing vibes, prayer, and any tips on overcoming these diagnoses. Also, if you’re going to trust a doctor to help you, make sure they trust YOU enough to listen to your experiences and take the extra steps necessary to get to the root of the problem! It took me ten years to find the right one and get answers. Knowing what the problem is is half the battle.
Prayer…. Not “healing vibes”…. Prayer
I pray that you beat your ailments quickly!
The best available treatment for cdiff is fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) from an adequate donor. There are many studies and reviews on this by now, e.g., https://gastro.org/press-releases/aga-releases-largest-real-world-report-on-safety-and-effectiveness-of-fecal-microbiota-transplantation-fmt-2/, https://www.gastrojournal.org/article/S0016-5085(20)35221-5/fulltext .
If it saves one life
Hard to believe medical studies these days tbh. OP is better off with ivermectin/homeopathic treatment.
I can’t help but wonder how many years will pass before “fecal transplant” is revealed to be a faddish prank to see how many people will eat shit.
It just sounds ridiculous.
A controlled fecal transplant is important. If you don't have healthy gut flora, you're going to be fucked up in a lot of ways.
It's disgusting, it's absolutely revolting to consider, but it is not a fad. Bad or no gut flora -- which can happen from a heavy antibiotic regimen for unrelated conditions too -- is absolutely terrible for you, and just one problem that can be caused is having new allergies that you didn't have before, and that is very serious because you can go into anaphylactic shock without knowing or having what you need because it wasn't something you were allergic to before.
You NEED healthy gut flora. It is imperative to your health. If you have bad gut flora, it needs to be removed and replaced. If you have none, it needs to be replaced.
It is not a fad. It is very serious. Just because a treatment is used by hospitals doesn't mean it's bad, and these are the stupid problems that hospitals falling in lockstep with the bullshit are causing.
I have read about this absolutely revitalizing people’s lives. But yes, revolting! Imagine being the donor!
Leaching used to not be a fad. It was the best medicine known to man at the time. You would have been a fool to turn it down if the doctor recommended it.
But it was a fad all along.
I suspect fecal transplants will disappear entirely as a stupid fad when we learn what kind of diet screws up gut flora and what sort of diet restores it quickly.
It is supposed to give you a jump to have the correct bacteria in your gut. You can make your own, but it takes time and effort.
"supposed to"
You don’t eat the shit. It’s more of a douche for your ass.
Sounds like a weird sex fetish.
Look into ivermectin as a possible treatment. Praying for you
Some things that may help --
Florassist GI with phage technology -- a probiotic plus several phage strains. Phages attack specific bacteria and were widely used before the advent of modern antibiotics; they're making a comeback because of rising bacterial resistance to antibiotics and because phages don't wipe out the GOOD bacteria you need in your digestive tract.
Florassist Prebiotic chewable. -- Feeds the good bacteria in your intestines; makes probiotics from yoghurt or capsules even more effective.
N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine -- The FDA has been threatening to ban this, but it's still available and, as it happens, cheap. Important for immune system health and does good things for your whole body. Widely recommended to people with COVID and to the "vax" injured. If you've not looked into this supplement before, poke around on the internets; anyone with health issues (or who wants to AVOID health issues) could benefit from learning about this one. I take 1200mg - 1800mg daily.
Lactoferrin -- Not cheap, but worth considering. Colostrum ("first milk") is the densest natural source of lactoferrin (it acts to some extent as the immune system for newborns), followed by human milk and cows milk.
The links above are from Life Extension; I buy most of my supplements through them (and have since the '80s) but have no connection with them other than as a customer. Quality is high (they actually test ingredients from suppliers, for instance, they don't buy cheap crap from China, and they have sizeable medical and scientific advisory boards) and pricing is usually a bit higher than the cheapest brands, but they have a huge customer base and so get good pricing from their suppliers.
One more link: Life Extension has a good number of protocols for various diseases and conditions; they aren't necessarily the last word on such things but they usually provide a great overview and numerous drug and supplement approaches to whatever problem you're researching. Here's their link for immune system support:

Best wishes for clearing up your problems soon and enjoying a healthy life thereafter.
I V E R M E C T I N FTW!!!!!!!
I don’t care what you got, drink a couple cc’s of Ivm for 2-3 days and if you still got it then go see a doctor. 99% of the time it’ll help - including cancer folks. Do your own research.
Not medical advice - I am not a licensed doctor but I play one at home.
Your gut is all off and need a healthy poop donation up your butt. Make it a slurry with non reactive water and some yogurt. That’s the word I was looking for…. Distilled water.
You need to get it way farther up in the small intestine, so unless you have a colonoscopy with fecal injector, pills with properly made up fecal matter are required
Good call!
Noooo I’ve read about that and I’d consider death as an alternative 😭😂
Don’t joke about that…. You’re in dangerous territory health wise right now.
Despite my joking I’m definitely terrified. It’s one of those “if you don’t laugh you’ll cry” scenarios.
No no. Go straight to the body. What does it need. We’re helping you.
My Mother suffered from C Diff for about three years before she died of another cascading cause. Antibiotics don’t work in this case. You need the exact opposite.
I’m so sorry about your mom. Hoping this doctor has a treatment up his sleeve that isn’t fecal matter but I’m not reading anything else nearly as promising.
He doesn’t. I’ve trained doctors to sew my sons eye back together. Antibiotics do not work. Know this. Not in this case. I wish you well. Make good choices.
He’s naturopathic so zero antibiotics will be used thankfully!
I just started taking Hydroxychloroquine for my gut problems. Can't get a diagnosis other than "IBS" so I decided on my own treatment. Seems to be working.
There used to be a list of items from a fellow the cured himself of Crohns Disease online. I could not find it.
On that list were four things that have helped my wife tremeduously with her Chrohns and Epstein Barr. First, eat raw garlic two or three times a week with meals. Garlic has anti-viral properties. Second, take L-lysine daily 500 to 1000mg. L-lysine is an anti-viral. People use it to stop cold sores (herpies) outbreaks. Third take a good probiotic. Fourth and most important of all take colostrum. Colostrum is the early milk of mammals and it contains all kinds of immunity building properties. Colostrum alone is what my wife now takes when her stomach / gut starts acting up. She does not take it all the time any more, but I would start off taking it daily for a month or two.
Some people can't eat garlic or strong onions -makes me deathly ill.
That would make me deathly ill!
That would me also
Chrohns disease and ulcerative colitis are the result of a Mycobacterium infection (MAP). There are curative protocols that have been around for decades. There is even a med. specifically designed to cure it made by an Israeli pharmaceutical company.
Here is a protocol for it: https://humanpara.org/2017-philly-borody/
I almost died with C-diff. I’m happy that you’re on your way to healing. What are the most important things I do every day is take a probiotic. And I mean a good one, not something that you find at Walgreens. Do the research find something that you know it’s going to be a legitimate probiotic.
My mother and I use a company called Keybiotics If you buy in bulk like three bottles at a time, you can get a cheaper price. Best wishes to you
Very good advice. Probiotic foods are: yoghurt, pickles, olives, salami, blue cheese, sauerkraut, cider or wine vinegars.
Check ingredients. Vinegar and salt are good.
Kombucha!
I feel for you and understand.
It too many years to find out I have Epstein Barr.
I took Shitake mushroom for it.
If you have allergies it triggers Epstein Barr.
Long term antacid use for gastric reflux can lead to cDiff.
May 10, 2010 -- The popular class of antacids that includes Aciphex, Dexilant, Nexium, Prevacid, Prilosec, and Protonix increases the risk of C. diff infection and bone fracture, new studies find. The drugs all are proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), the most powerful class of antacid drugs.10 May 2010
Ivermectin treats Epstein-Barr virus. Don't waste time with a doctor that won't prescribe it. Just pick up the large bottles of the liquid version from any equestrian shop. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32959892/
I'm not going to fucking lie I thought it was a shit post because of Epstein-Barr, I did NOT immediately think of the condition
I hope you will try ivermectin and not let a doctor tell you not to try it. If you need guidance re the ivermectin there is plenty of that available here. It is not difficult nor expensive. Does need to be combined with at a minimum, zinc, vite c and D3. There are other things that people will mention in comments. I swear by the ivermectin! I also easily make homemade kefir, it is a godsend for the gut.
Lemon water, warm unsweetened every morning. Mag glycinate powder. And pomegranate juice
Oblakahan posted some good suggestions as well namely the colostrum. I've seen HIV patients recover with it no drugs. Bovine colostrum is powerful
Prayers up for your health and healing, Patriot!
God Bless!
Added!
Would you be willing to private message me your symptoms? I've been trying to help find solutions for a family member. This sounds like it could be the issue.
Prayers going up fren! 🙏
Mikhaila Peterson had C-diff, and cured it with a series of 10-day fasts in which she drank salt water. She was considering a poo transplant, but decided to starve the bugger out.
Recently I had a viral stomach bug, and I proceeded with a near-fast with salt water. I did no go all the way like Mikhaila, as I added one ounce of salami once a day. My theory was that salami (if it is good) is fermented meat, so there are some good bacteria there. Also, the fat keeps one standing up, if you know what I mean.
Anyway, I seem to be better, the salt water tends to clean one out. Have added some yoghurt to my diet recently (also fermented).
My child had c-diff after some antibiotics that was quickly cured with the $2.99 sugar-stuffed kefir from WinCo.

NAC + Oregano Oil + Black Seed Oil. In the words of Trump, what the heck do you have to lose?
Good luck to you. Sending a hug and healing vibes your way. Hopefully things start to get better for you now that you know what the issue is. Stay positive.
Find a doctor that will prescribe valacyclovir. EB is a herpes virus and valacyclovir is a herpes treatment. A study I read indicated that treatment for 11 to 12 years is needed to reduce the virus to undetectable levels. My son has chronic EB and it about ruined his life. He's been on the treatment for nearly 2 years now and almost back to his old self.
EB seems to be one of those weird diseases that most people are unaffected by but a few are highly susceptible to. It seems to cause a cascade of problems including heart and GI issues. Get the EB under control first, the other problems start to become alleviated.
It may be necessary to look into veterinary treatments for herpes viruses. Just a bit of advice... focus on treating this as a herpes infection. That is more clearly understood compared to the nebulous symptoms associated with EB.
Not a doctor, but collagen supplement can help build and heal digestive tract. Ask the dr tho. Think we all dont eat enough stews with rendered tissue and fat anymore.
