Oh I'm sure it's in the realm of 'had to show people' instead of just doing it. At the same time, it wouldn't be so tough to basically advertise what Obama did and point out the damage already done.
However, as it turns out, the programming and conditioning of the general public has been rather complete and effective. I actually agree that people are so flipping numb and sleepy that they needed a brick to the face kind of notice that this was done, because now it's unmistakable that the MSM is paid to promote a narrative.
Nobody seeks out a near death experience, but apparently, to some, it's valuable to the point of offering redemption.
