In my county, the Republican candidate won the primary, and then saw the amount of money going from the ngo to his rival in the general election. So, even after winning the primary, he said he couldn't compete, and dropped out of the general election.

Some people (and, I think Scott Adams is one of those people) don't understand that scientism and science aren't the same thing. Scientism is the belief that science is the only way of knowing what's true, or real. The scientific method is just a tool. It's beneficial, and it helps us in many ways. But, it shouldn't be held up as the only way of knowing. I know what I had for breakfast this morning, and I didn't have to read a peer reviewed study to know that.
"Democrat Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut claimed Republicans demanding a vote on the matter is "not a good faith effort" before acknowledging it might be an attempt to "deliberately take down the bill." A lame duck house pushing this through weeks before there's a new Congress is the best example of something that's not a good faith effort.
In her mind, Nikki Haley saw that Kamala Harris had about 1% of the votes in the DNC primaries, and is now one heartbeat away from the presidency. I read a post on X, that suggests Haley's strategy depends on Trump having to drop out, supposedly leaving her as the presumptive nominee. I think she represents everything that's sleazy about the uniparty, and I'd never vote for her.
