For normal people, if you found out someone you were talking to were young, you would change how you act as a minimum and as a maximum you would limit communication. I also assume that lewd degeneracy wouldn't be the default behavior, either.
I guess the point is, they're never catching a pedophile who meets up with someone who never mentioned their age. Age always ends up being a part of the conversation. That's how you lure them in, that's how you catch them.

If you meet up with a child for any reasons other than wholesome and appropriate ones (e.g. taking a family friend's kid to school, babysitting, etc.) then I think you forfeit your right to ever have any sexual gratification at a minimum.
