There's an AskReddit thread that is basically entirely about political assassination right now. It's very disconcerting, and the ways they try to push it are even more twisted.
It really, really shows how far that site has gone to shit that it's praised so outwardly.
Edit: I think reading through that thread has actually broken the camel's back. I am going to change all of my account's passwords on that site without looking so there is no way for me to go back without going through a process of making another one.
I try to be reasonable when I wish someone else would be hurt; I don't want political assassinations, but I would smile if, say, Nancy Pelosi got into a single car accident.
If there is to be open revolt or civil war, that isn't assassination either.
But straight up just advocating, in the open, for political assassination and being cheered on for it is scary and concerning, and the few people responding against them get shoved down / seems to have had some deleted or banned while the political assassination posts are remaining.
That's legitimately scary. It's NOT GOOD at all when people start advocating for it, because it's only a step up from there until it's attempted

To be honest, I don't even want to do that. I have no motivation to go back there for even hobby related stuff. Those people are lost.
It's the hobbies that always keep me going back there. I don't know any other forum with such good hobby discussions and knowledge.
Also, for my diet - the carnivore/zerocarb and fasting subs are super helpful and encouraging.
And of course coronaviruscirclejerk is amazing.
Every time I try to delete my account I hesitate just because of about 4-6 subs that really help me. I guess the key is to go to those subs and no other ones. But I hate supporting the website in general. Aargh.

If it helps i would guess 90% of the posters are not real and are bots its like peer pressure on steroids, This is one of the ways they program lefty/mentally ill people, the left are weak and are always looking for someone to tell them what to do as they cannot think for themselves it also gives the left the feeling that they have this big army of people but in reality they are just a bunch of useful idiots being used by the elites.
They are a tiny minority of people, the small percentage that cannot be saved.
