Several years ago the University of Michigan allowed students to specify how they wanted to be addressed by the faculty. They were given a free text field to enter their preferred address. One student put "His Royal Highness". The university backed the policy, and his professors had to refer to him as HRH the rest of the semester.
I used to think that. Now I think this - what damage are they doing to the children in the meantime? You want to leave your kids in there until the schools are fixed? If your child was tied to the railroad tracks, would you leave them there until you contacted the railroad and talked them into stopping the trains?
You can't fix it immediately. You can get your kids into a safe environment now. And hitting the schools in their budget by taking away enrollment will help get their attention.
You're right; the kids have to be put into a better school or homeschooled until things are fixed at the problem-school. I just wanted to say don't take your kids out then give up on that school; try to take back that school.

I just can't comprehend any parent not moving heaven and earth to keep their kids safe. I know a lot say it's not happening in their schools but that's flat out deluded. I live in one of the most conservative areas in the country and it's happening here.
