You mean to tell me that nurses shouldn't be indoctrinated for a few years then given crushing hours so they don't have time to do any research for themselves about any alternative measures? Are you saying they shouldn't trust the science?!??!?
I have in-laws that they believe EVERYONE needs to wear a mask/isolate/injectionate...etc...when I tried to explain what the mask actually to the virus..."that's not true"...masks cause aersolization of the virus molecule (breaks it up) and is EVEN more virulent than one can imagine.
Apprenticeship will be needed at this point. Given how late in life people are entering the workforce. They need a dose of what work actually is before someone is paying them 60k a year.
Nursing inparticular needs a complete overhaul. Yeah they make decent money, but they work soo many hours they are almost dead by the time they get done with a shift.
Sad part is, Ive worked in several indutried and never have I seen a degree equal a good hire. Its more dependent on if they learn how your company operates and can complete the tasks your company needs. Which is in and of itself an Apprenticeship.
If Hospitals and care facities got rid.of people that provided poor quality and were unreliable it would get better. But in most cases those people that do a terrible job are kept because they cant get replacements. Sad, if quality alone was a metric there would be better nursing.
“ESG investing is a woke scam,” said Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX), who introduced the bill. “It restricts the free flow of capital, undermines U.S. energy freedom to the benefit of our enemies, and advances woke racial and gender ideologies intent on dividing the republic.” Roy says that the TSP changes, which were first announced last summer, would “allow billions of taxpayer dollars” to be put toward advancing liberal ends.
except that the gauge of the person is more complex... I experienced some of the libtards indoctrination propaganda, but unfortunately, for them, it only served to awaken me to their B.S. You should know that it is the person not the path....
But if based companies did that, all the woke talent would find work at competing companies, and those companies would become supersaturated with wokeness.... Oh, wait!
that means we'll go back to Meritocracy and have (for a short time) boat loads of unemployed young people carrying a useless piece of paper. Which will be great, cause then they'll have to work on merit and actually contribute. Now if only they couldn't go to the government for freebies because they have a useless degree.
It's already happening with Evergreen college in WA state. If you have a degree from there, most companies file your resume into the wastebin immediately.
For a place like Harvard or Stanford, it may take a little longer.
This is really what's going to happen... The Great Awakening will essentially be people refusing to participate... Refusing the college racket, the healthcare racket, the stock market racket, the IRS racket etc...
When we all fight back by refusing to simply participate, they have no power. Even the jack booted thugs will refuse to participate. That's how the world changes. We all refuse to participate in the systems that lead us here.
I'm wondering if there may be legal ramifications to that. They'll certainly try to cry racism and discrimination when denying someone from a black or women's college.
Hired guys with the big degree, military experience, and as much as possible, in the worst places. They all had college degrees and most of them Didn't even list them on the resume.
The only jobs requiring a degree or certifications are the ones that the states license. Medical, law enforcement, construction, plumbing etc
A marketing degree the state does not deem worth licensing, yet.
In tech I’ve talked to several hiring managers that know degrees and certfications don’t mean shit. It doesn’t hurt but they really just wanted people with the technical chops who would be able to perform the job.
That would be a heavy lift. Just look at all the woke companies that mandated the jab for employees. Most of the upper echelons of corporate America are graduates of supposed top tier schools, which are the most woke. They absorbed the indoctrination well and know how to carry out their orders. I cannot image these same people saying they didn't want the company to hire others who graduated from the same group of schools.
Woke colleges and universities need to be cut off from tax dollars. Massive amounts of tax dollars, many in the form of student loans that will never be paid back, are funding these institutions. They use these dollars to fund entire departments full of woke administrators. The university of Ohio, a state university in a red state, spends over ten million dollars a year on "diversity" staff. Cut them all off from the spigot. If taxpayers were funding "based" initiatives, the money would have been shut off years ago. Starve them. Make the liberal activist class get real jobs.
Funny you say that. Trying not to self dox as much as possible. I worked in a skilled trade for a LONG time. Started on just that. An apprenticeship. Decades later im in IT trying to convine them we need to do the same here. in IT. and spend a decent ammount of time trying to explain it all to them.
People who HAD to have a degree to get their job, are hell bent on not letting ANYONE through the door who dont have one.
I'm not pushing for education being the end-all-be-all, but wouldn't it provide a more broad knowledge base if someone isn't staying at one company for their whole career?
Depends on how you break down what is important. Prioritizing working productivity, you would want people with broad exposure with years in each. But that person would normally end up being deficcuent in other areas. Prioritizing the maximization of human capitol, you would want people in different roles as well. So they are more well rounded.
IT moves so fast apprentice ships would be perfect.
My daughter is one at a hospital and they are paying for rhe degree to baCk fill the requirement. No joke the money came with the job. Her nerdy techie interest had her prepared better than any school.
IT apprentice here. It works, you just have to find candidates willing to put in the extra mile to learn on their own time as well as bust their ass to learn on the job. Cause IT is a very broad field, experts with decades of experience still don't know many things
It is broad. Too broad for a kid fresh out of highschool to know what they want to narrow down on. Apprenticeship will help open eyes to what all is out there and how each job is broken down.
As far as candidates go. You definately need people who are going to put in the time, but that is also true with anyone with a degree and experience. Seen too many people come in, know nothing about how and why we do what we do and start telling everyone how to do it like the last place they worked. It doesnt end well.
THAT IS THE REALIZATION I came too when I was tutoring...these "college" classes are nothing but "weed out" classes and when I started tutoring I began to UNDERSTAND MORE...some people ARE WIRED differently than others and the profs teach to that level...
Wouldn’t that mean no degree is recognized? What University isn’t woke?
You mean to tell me that nurses shouldn't be indoctrinated for a few years then given crushing hours so they don't have time to do any research for themselves about any alternative measures? Are you saying they shouldn't trust the science?!??!?

This is a great idea.
"I see you graduated from an ivy-league school. We went with the Hillsdale graduate."
Have graduated two boys from our homeschool so far, and both are apprenticing in trades. Best decision ever for those two young men.
I live about 20 mins from Hillsdale. They and Adrian are turning out good and knowledgeable young people.
College education is borderline scam.
College education is borderline scam.
You don't kill the hydra by simply cutting off one of its heads. You target the heart of the monster.
Get rid of the [ESG] (Environmental, Social, and Governance).(https://web.archive.org/web/20220714211638/https://www.esgthereport.com/what-is-an-esg-score/)

This... Is the way.
Problem is, too many of the Based companies are promoting this, with 20 something year-old green hairs running the HR departments
College education is borderline scam.

you are right, they are considering abandoning their drug testing, but to blame the smokers is ridiculous
If a job tries to drug test me, I'm gone, their loss... my job does not dictate my personal life.
Pull from the MIL. I was a soldier, I cross trained with the knowledge I have into industrial engineering making very very good money.
I'm wondering if there may be legal ramifications to that. They'll certainly try to cry racism and discrimination when denying someone from a black or women's college.
They can do this. Just don't hire them.
Hired guys with the big degree, military experience, and as much as possible, in the worst places. They all had college degrees and most of them Didn't even list them on the resume.

Well i mean they can already i think they probably won't publicly state it though
Brilliant idea!!
Probably because 99.99% of American universities are fully Woke!
In tech I’ve talked to several hiring managers that know degrees and certfications don’t mean shit. It doesn’t hurt but they really just wanted people with the technical chops who would be able to perform the job.

That would leave almost no diplomas and degrees left. What are they going to do? Fire 99 percent of all the Doctors?
Haha. Good point.

Yikes....Harvard?
Well....i guess the interview is over.

the only billionaire that I personally know is self made and only had a HS education.

Yeah.
Hahah. What. I dont care to check spelling and have fat fingers.
Got a point?
GrammarWaffen incoming

Is that you Martin?
My Name is Martin...AND I worked (retired) in IT!!! AND engineering!!!
wtf lol apparently Martin is a common name in IT, thanks to mine for the job
Not likely.

I've apprenticed a few people and it is a real lot of fun teaching like that and it forces you to get better even as a teacher.
THAT IS THE REALIZATION I came too when I was tutoring...these "college" classes are nothing but "weed out" classes and when I started tutoring I began to UNDERSTAND MORE...some people ARE WIRED differently than others and the profs teach to that level...
