I believe coronavirus existed, just like its earlier cousins the common cold. It was never as deadly as they made it out to be, that was just to scare us all into taking the injections which were the main reason for the pandemic. I think covid was real, it was just a common cold with a nasty lower respiratory kick added to it. Perfectly capable of killing an older person with weak immunity.
The main game was to infect everybody with an unusual cold, and use that to force everyone to open up their bloodstream for whatever.
