I saw both my parents and my siblings naked. It was just normal and natural. Not that we pranced around like naturists, just no need to hide anything. Even had showers/baths with my dad when I was little. I never discovered them having sex, though.
All my friends could probably tell similar stories. Guess we Scandinavians have a little more lax attitude on nudity...
What I agree with is something that traditional Europeans / Scandinavians have maintained is a natural distinction between nudity and acts of sexual arousal. That distinction has been (deliberately?) blurred in American culture. So we (Americans raising families) have to navigate this wisely:
On the one extreme, not buying into this bizarre bodily shame neurosis and pretend sex is only dirty or doesn't exist and any nudity is included in that.
And on the other extreme, this push to include mature post-pubescent sexual dynamics into the life and experience of the child, with no considerations for psychic damages that will cause for the child, whether it comes from other members of the family or the hedonistic culture at large.
The leftist perverts simply want to break down boundaries, which damages a young person's identity since it relies so heavily on the foundation of familial relationships that are defined by those boundaries.
We should expect sick leftists to act sick, but we should not expect our liberal friends and co-workers to tolerate this. That's where the real frustration lies.
True, on one extreme end are the prudes, and on the other extreme end are the ones over "sexualizing" children. On the side of the "sexualizing" children, one can debate at what age it is appropriate. Clearly the woke lefties are setting the bar way too low.
Yes, distinguishing between acts of sexual arousal and nudity is important. This is mostly done in Europe, though I would say more in the northern part than in the southern. I have no science to back it up, but I have a feeling that English speaking countries tend to be more on the prudish, side equating nudity with sex.
Me too. I saw my parents naked while they got ready for work when I was little. It wasn't a big deal. I never saw them in a sexual situation, though. They always shut the door.
When I saw my dads erect penis as a 7-8 year old FEMALE, it definitely wasn’t something I wanted to remember. YOU don’t get to decide what other people’s boundaries are.
When I saw my dad by accident, it took some innocence away. I saw something different about males I didn’t know happened.
As an adult I’m fine, but seeing that as a child was very scarring.
But you only wrote naked, so I never presumed it to be a man in an aroused state. Guess our cultural background differs in the perception of nudity. See also the other replies to my question...
I saw my mom riding my dad when I was in second grade and it scarred me for life. Pretty sure this book is baaad advice.
STORY TIME
I was once walking through a park with my dad and we saw two dogs having sex. I said, "Dad, what are they doing?"
Dad said, "It's OK son, they're just making puppies."
I said, "Oh, OK dad."
Couple days later I walked in on dad on top of mom.
I said, "Dad! What are you doing?!"
He said, "Son we're trying to make you a little brother or sister. Now shut the door!"
I said, "Dad, can you bend her over? I'd rather have a puppy."

Little Johnny walked in on his Mum masterbating on the bed and said "Mummy, mummy what's that?"
"That's where Daddy hit Mummy with the axe" - she said.
Little Johnny :- " What a shot. Right in the Cunt !!"
Oh damn!!! The innocence of childhood!!! LOL
Right. I accidentally saw my dad naked ONCE and I’m still scarred 20+ years later.
I saw mom naked ONCE at a young age. My retinas are burned. 😳
Is this tongue-in-cheek, or are you serious?

Good post.

OK, I can understand that.

HUH?
Are you related to Joe Biden?
Same here.
"Sweetie, we were just wrestling."
I was trying to work short elbows from her closed guard. Honest.
same here. I love my parents but that is one image I wish I didn't have in my head.
Now my mate's mum, well that would be an image that I may have appreciated later in life :)
