It's a sting, we will not know who is a black hat and who is playing a part till the end. This whole thing is about timing, and could very well be why it has played out this way. In my mind Barr did exactly what his part required. Time will tell.
I so believe this to be true. I try not to get invested in personalities because I know OPSEC is much more important than my emotional satisfaction. Pence, Barr, etc… we’ll see.

There's plenty of evidence for Barr being a swamp creature. But I suspect he was given a chance for redemption early in the game. The Patriots needed known swampy's to play roles in the game to keep the DS off balance. So some are playing a role, others are getting played.
