If 'simulation' means engineered fake realities, then yes.

Exactly. "We are in a simulation" is essentially creationism. It is an atheist version of God because it is an admission that materialism alone is insufficient to explain reality. "Act like you are in a simulation that you paid to experience, and watch how everything falls into place for you" is much like "Trust in God"

Its all God. Just because we discover the working parts does not disprove his divinity, it only brings us closer to him, and to understanding his purposes and mechanisms. In turn we can become better beings.

(or anything that refer to the human brain or consciousness in computational terms)
are all artificial, derivative concepts borne out of the human imagination. And they all carry meanings established in specialized industries.
So what is the justification to then shuttle those terms into metaphyics and cosmogonies that transcend any historically recent technological and cultural concepts borne out of certain human imaginations? That's logically the thing as some bored nerdy kid one afternoon slapping together a paper mache orrery with dangling Pokemon characters, and declaring "This! This explains our reality!"
Stars have a finite lifetime. Eventually they will run out of fuel, go Nova or implode; some will form black holes.
When you get very large, the physics we see in daily life, doesn't really apply anymore. Time distorts, space expands and weirdness abounds.
When you go to the other extreme, where Quantum Mechanics kicks in; to paraphrase the great physicist Richard Feynman, "if you think you understand Quantum Mechanics, you don't understand Quantum Mechanics".
Without these crazy, absolutely counter to "common sense" behaviors, we could not exist. So, in the span of infinity, WE are HERE, while our stars are alive and relatively young, we have the capability (unlike any other animal on the planet) to discover that what applies for us - doesn't begin to make sense at the sub-atomic, nor at the astrophysical ends of the spectrum.
And there are some that says there is no God. I find that fascinating, when his handiwork is so obviously in play.
Feynman was a guy I admired very much as a kid and had read all his popular books before I left school.
That said, knowing what I know and using my intuition, with nothing to back this up, if you translate from Cabalese, here is what this means:

Nowadays, we call those same wonders the work of a simulation because that is our current level of comprehension. There is a little truth in both views, and the common ground between them is our primitive state trying to comprehend the incomprehensible. Our current reality is not ultimate reality. If that makes it a simulation, then I'm fine with that description. What I oppose is a materialistic view of it.

It’s really just information. Reality only exists when there is a consciousness observing it. Otherwise it just exists as a potential. Reality is pixelated like your computer monitor. Made up of 3D pixels the length of the plank constant. Thought influences reality. If you concentrate on one outcome of a random event like flipping a coin, the outcome will skew statistically significantly towards the outcome you are concentrating on.

Are you thinking that he was moved to witness protection? My read was, his job in this Plan was finished and hence he was being moved out for protection.
