There are "limits" to wealth. Consider you have $1-$5 million in the bank. Your retirement is likely assured, you may have your grandkids college paid for. You likely travel when you want, but you HAVE A BUDGET.
If you have $~8-20 million in the bank, you probably travel to whatever luxurious place you want, you probably travel First Class. You dine where you want, your kid's future is pretty much assured, and you likely have a couple very nice homes, but you still HAVE A BUDGET.
$25 to 50 Million, you may charter a jet when you travel, as time is more important than money. When it comes to the big dogs; you are still a puppy. You probably have several nice homes, drive whatever car suits your taste, probably at least one yacht, and can afford to do pretty much whatever you want to do. Owning a jet, with the maintenance, operational expenses and keeping a staff to take you from place to place is probably going to be a bit beyond what you can maintain, long term. So, again - you charter a private jet.
Around $75-100 Million; ok, now you are talking about owning a jet or aircraft for your personal use. At $4 Million, buying a jet is just foolish.

The key for normal wealthy people is always budget. The exceptionally wealthy don't spend nonstop on frivolities, they save. They put their wealth to work for them.
I mean obviously this goes out the window if you are one of the deep state wealthy, as that makes things a hell of a lot easier: all the money you spend on politicians gets paid back in spades by the printer.
Can you imagine how empty life would be, if you had "no budget" whatsoever? What would be the point of a $5,000 drink over a $5? Money would be so available, as to be virtually meaningless.
Having been poor, while money may not buy happiness; it does avoid a lot of misery.

A criminal former attorney is probably a hot commodity in prison. He can file legal papers, help with appeals, and use his law skills for all sorts of things in prison. Whoever controls his leash can rent Avenatti out to other prisoners in exchange for favors.
Someone (or more likely a gang) got a hold of Avenatti on his first day... and explained exactly what will happen to him if he doesn't do what they want. More than likely, his first day was spent learning his new place and who his new bosses are.
