I take supplementary boron, along with other things like calcium, vitamin D and vitamin K2, These things help your body deposit calcium in the right places, ie. bones and teeth and not in the wrong places like connective tissue and arterial plaques. I think that all helps.
If I have a specific tooth problem, sometimes I put small amounts of iodine/ iodide on it. I think that iodide has a similar effect to fluoride when it comes to remineralising teeth. Iodide isn't poisonous in small amounts. Large amounts can be problematic.
Rinse your mouth with coconut oil for 20 mins each day, that will clear the mouth of bacteria. Swish it around but don't swallow the oil, do that and all the bacteria goes back into you.
20 minutes seems like a really long time. How much do you use? Can little kids do it? My youngest got some cavities (5yo) when I was away for cancer treatments. We already only use natural toothpaste, no fluoride. Our hygienist said cavities are from a genetic bacteria passed down from parents. My hubby has always had issues even with a good hygiene routine. I'm going to try hydroxyapatite paste as well.
TLDR: personal experience.. after i had same exact issue. Cavity on 1 tooth. Been using poison paste for decades. NOW I use a water pic toothbrush & water pic combo thing... I dip wet brush in baking soda & brush. Then do hot water pic. Then do 20 mins of coconut oil pulling. In 3 treatments i saw my cavity go down. It's Definitely worth your time to try!
EDIT: is also making teeth whiter. For my kid too.
Raw milk, butter, meat, eggs from grass-fed animals, fish, FAT from healthy organic animals, leafy green and bitter plants/legumes, rock salt, molasses - THERE IS A REASON why they are forbidden, defamed, warned about = THEY ARE HEALTHY FOR US!
Horsetail: "Horsetail is the best plant for tooth health. It strengthens and repairs teeth, fixing them firmly in their sockets. Most surprisingly, it has the ability to stimulate the formation of new tooth enamel, a feat typically thought of as impossible." https://thegrownetwork.com/equisetum-hyemale-horsetail-benefits/
no fluoride, unless you're too smart and want to reduce your IQ (also linked to causing cancer). water pike. and oral health I believe to be very important. take a watch of "Root Cause" the documentary and any tooth/gum/oral related rabbit holes it leads you toward
Our teeth are essentially bones, only makes sense they could heal, right?
I’d repeat what others have said about researching Weston Price, oil pulling, baking soda. I had my first cavity spot in a molar several years ago. I increased the good fat and oil pulled and it healed. Dentist picked at the spot and when there was no pain just moved on.
Since we are on the subject... so now that none of us trust the medical industry, another theory I think is a myth is that "nothing dissolves plaque, you have to scrape it off".
There surely is some chemical somewhere that we can use orally (as in, swish, not swallow) that is corrosive to the plaque and nothing else. Now just to find it.
My vet - who gives tips for homeopathic medicine - recommended Proden PlaqueOff for one of my girls who isn't a chewer... and it works! Her teeth are slick as can be, nothing sticks to them. It's made, as far as I can tell, from seaweed/kelp. Haven't figured out how to discern /which/ kelp it is to see if there is a human grade version...
Periodontal disease is linked to heart disease. Take care of your gums. Baking soda and water as a paste is very effective. A little hydrogen peroxide will also take care of infections below the gum line. I've also been told (haven't researched) that cavities can be contagious (like with a partner). Never use Dollar Store grade products on your body. And who knows WTF toothpaste is made?
Eat meat.
Cut out carbs, including sweet fruits, root veg and sugars.

Spit, don't swallow to coin a phrase.

My kids are the same but can tolerate 3 x 7 min sessions. There is much grumbling about the extra minute though "its not fair!"
Oil-pulling? 20 minutes would exhaust me, but 10 minutes is reasonable. Great comment.
Skipping it every day appears to have no certain or guaranteed long term effect. I dunno if it’s savage. Would Jesus floss? Maybe he would.

Instead of sugar go for natural honey and molasses to get important nutrients:

Use rock salt for seasoning and mouth washes to remineralize teeth and bones.
Has anyone made their own toothpaste from the above ingredients?

Another basis I have found fascinating recently is German New Medicine (GNM/GHK) which correlates the type and location of cavity to a communication conflict. Here’s the podcast that introduced me to the idea: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/germanische-heilkunde-ghk-made-easy/id1500811889?i=1000525996526

Some things to think about:
Carbs, glucose and insulin.
C-vitamin and ascorbin acid is not the same.
