I don't play golf although I do know that a golf club may be referred to as a "Driver." Wondering if he means they have located an actual "driver", as in an employee. I am sure they have plenty of drivers so there would have to be something special about this one. "No reporting requirements" - the driver has not been handed in to law enforcement.
Also I think it is odd that he says they found it "in a locker with other clubs." Why be so specific? Why does he say that it has never been used? It was widely reported that he did use in a game himself and it's not the kind of thing you would forget.
Finally why "my company buys thousands of clubs a year." It's a yuge international golf course so I am sure they do buy a ton of golf gear. But what relevance does that have?
