Donald Trump Jr. opposes Bud Light boycott, citing company's donations to Republicans Donald Trump Jr. says he did not want to hurt Anheuser-Busch and Bud Light over 'someone in a marketing campaign' getting too political

Donald Trump Jr. defended beer conglomerate Anheuser-Busch on his podcast Thursday, urging listeners not to continue boycotting the company.
Trump claimed that the company was too "iconic" to continue boycotting, and that the executives have learned a lesson.
"So here’s the deal. Anheuser-Busch totally sh*t the bed with this Dylan Mulvaney thing. I’m not, though, for destroying an American, an iconic company for something like this," Trump Jr. said.

The beer company has faced intense criticism in recent weeks following the announcement it was partnering with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
"When I actually look into it, I'm not gonna blame the whole company for the inaction or the stupidity of someone in a marketing campaign that got woke as hell," Trump said of the collaboration on Thursday.
Trump cited Anheuser-Busch's record of donating slightly more to conservative politicians than liberal ones as reason to keep buying their beer.

"The company itself doesn’t participate in the same leftist nonsense as the other big conglomerates," Trump said. "Frankly, they don’t participate in the same woke garbage that other people in the beer industry actually do, who are significantly worse offenders when I looked into it. But if they do this again, then it’s on them! Then, screw them."
Mulvaney, a trans activist and social media influencer who gained prominence when given an opportunity to interview President Biden about LGBTQ issues in 2022, revealed earlier this month that the beer company sent packs of Bud Light with her face printed on the cans as part of an ad for the beer company’s March Madness contest and as a way to celebrate a full year of "girlhood."
Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth published a lengthy statement Friday, hoping to tamp down the animosity aimed at Bud Light and its parent company.

"We never intended to be part of a discussion that divides people. We are in the business of bringing people together over a beer," Whitworth said. "My time serving this country taught me the importance of accountability and the values upon which America was founded: freedom, hard work and respect for one another.
He added, "As CEO of Anheuser-Busch, I am focused on building and protecting our remarkable history and heritage."
The statement received criticism from both sides of the transgender issue, with social media users asking what the message was supposed to be.
'Please ignore the faggorty because they give us cash' is all I hear
The problem we face here Don jr. is that we are sick of the grooming, sick of the agenda of less than .5% of the population being shoved down our throats. We find it difficult to fight back against TPTB who wield the full force of government to silence and ridicule us. Here we finally found a way we could actively voice our displeasure. We CAN affect the outcome here. We can destroy this company that forcefully pushes an obviously depraved agenda on us whether they do so willingly or not. They make lame ass excuses, disingeuously appeal to our Patriotism and give non apologies. And they lie saying it was rogue officers when we know many many many had to sign off on this to make it reality.
Bud made the wrong choice. They could have stood for the American Patriot and even if the pedo death cult bankers cut them off Patriots in their millions would have supported them, same as we have for MyPillow. We all know it will get tough if you face down the evil but in the end those that do always survive. How many of the boycotts of the left have had any real effect? How many of ours have? Goodbye BBB, goodbye JCPenney, goodbye Budweiser.
Fuck em all and let God sort it out.
I am curious if they were "sold a bill of goods"
For instance Gillette made the mistake of listening to marketing/advertising firm Gray Worldwide in pushing the toxic Masculinity thing....
Now I have not purchased any Gillette products since but perhaps this was crammed down AB's throat.... Furthermore AB employs many Truck Drivers and other typically Patriotic Americans, For instance St. Louis has always been a loyal AB town...(note my experience is many years old..
The question however remains: Are we hurting Patriot with this? And us that what the Left wants?
"Too iconic to boycott'.......
You could say the same thing about CNN, Hollywood or Disney, couldn't you?
Oh yea... I remember.... “Too big to fail”. NOT!
Jr's message was very simple: the boycott hurts a big ship, and the passengers (workers) are important even if the captain is dumb. He also said "but if they do this again, it's on them" which looks like his statement is an offhand comment, not anything super-important to him.
On the other hand, if he bought the brand it would probably help the workers. In the meantime if I want a beer, it's really easy to not pick Bud.
I tend to agree. Like the Fed, big corporations everywhere are overdue for a fall.
It is very possible the marketing director was a plant to sabotage Budweiser.
Still the higher ups should have immediately and very publicly can the ads and the person that was responsible for creating them. That was the only damage control the had a chance at working.
This should serve as a warning to all companies. Do some very thorough research on anyone you intend to put in a sensitive position, and stay away from hiring woke idiots for any position.
This will go down in history as one of the biggest marketing failures EVER. They targeted the group that is the most loyal, hard working, middle class blue collar and white collar patriots in America. I for one will NEVER support this company again. They have clearly told me they do not give a shit if I disapprove or disagree. "Here is our new "mascot", and you will like it." If this company survives, it will never hold the stonghold on the market share they once held.
He's trying to be nuanced because it's a large company and not everyone there is bad. He's going to learn a hard lesson that THEY started cancel culture and have gotten disgusting and violent and normal people who wanted to be left alone have had it.
Jr, we love ya but "going along to get along" has left the building, amigo. Now, if you're not opposing the evil, you're supporting it, because it has gotten way too aggressive to live with. Folks aren't going to respect traditional stuff for the sake of tradition after it's been shown to be corrupt for so long that we can't even pinpoint the turning point. CIA CEO? C'mon man!
America has legends who worked hard, invented stuff, did things. The companies today aren't them. We don't have to maintain shrines to anyone in the form of corporations that tried to kill their own employees (mask & jab mandates) and that are majority owned by the likes of blackrock and vanguard.
We have alternatives, and they are good!
As the fog of war is thick we have to use critical thinking. Is it possible that the enemy might use reverse psychology to trick us into abandoning our assets? Very possible. Is this one of those situations? You can't rule it out. Lets keep our minds open until there is clarity.
And while it may hurt stockholders is that bad? This is We the People telling stockholders that they must demand that the fiduciary responsibilities are met and that intersectional bullshit is rejected by the company that they own. If this doesnt force shareholders to reexamine the companies priorities then fuck them too they get what they asked for. If I was a large shareholder Id be preparing a lawsuit.
The only victims in this besides the public at large is the employees. And for them I feel empathy.
If as you say this was a bh move to destroy a Patriot company then the BoD would have fired every single one of the perpetrators of this attack the day it happened. But they didnt did they? They waited two weeks until it became clear they were in deep trouble to say anything. And then we get lame excuses, disingenuous appeals to patriotism while still pushing intersectionality, non apologies, lies and blame shifting. But still nobody got fired.
Nope the die is cast. Fuck Budweiser and the clydesdale they rode in on.
Maybe you are right, there seems to be a new ad now lol
Yea with the Clydesdales? It is a disingenuous appeal to Patriotism full of interracial nonsense. They are still virtue signaling.
One problem is that AB is an Imbev company now so the BoD is Dutch...
Our “Asset” contributes “slightly” more to Republicans than the Democrats. That doesn’t sound like a major asset to me.
As always, good people work in bad companies. Not everyone there is a woke asshole. Let's hope the good workers can survive the bad decisions.
The CEO is a CIA clown. Nuff said
"Muh rank and file"
May we have a list of the the RHINOs, I mean republicans they supported?
Budweiser is getting the worst of the boycotts when Dylan is sponsored by Nike, and Tampex….I would guess some of the bud lite angst is being pushed by liberals since Budweiser donates to republicans more.
Is there actually a way to donate directly to GEOTUS? Doesn’t all still (unfortunately) flow thru winred?
What I hear is it is not the company that did that it is one of their employees. Bud can fix this by publically firing its employees that were in on it and making sure they are charged under the law.
Someone tell Whitworth that the corporate oligarch elite & the henchmen of the CIA have betrayed America.
Why is AB a member of the WEF? Is your marxist ESG rank more important than your customers?
AB’s VP of marketing needs to be fired, because she made a huge, huge mistake in marketing - she never knew who her customers were.
I hope the Board of AB fires the CEO, the VP of marketing, withdraws from the WEF, ends their compliance with the ESG bs and brings back the frog ads in honor of Pepe!
Even more reason to fry them! Show us the list of these so called "republicans" that Buttweiser is funding. If this corporation is funding the loser establishment of do-nothing, left wing complicit republicans, then they need to go down hard as a demonstration to show exactly how sick and tired the American public is of the loser Republican party leadership aiding, and abetting the radical left agenda, and corruption of our justice system.
{edit}. Lots to dig on. https://www.campaignmoney.com/anheuser_busch.asp?pg=18
I don't think this is about money as they(Trump family) have plenty of that, that would be a simple thought. I think there is something else going on, some psyop possibly, just not sure.
The message is bigger than the “iconic brand”. Disney and Nike suck too
This will make room for MAGA beer!
It's a multinational corporation. It can leave tomorrow and I'll play the world's smallest violen.
Give them an inch…
Free thinking people do not play the operation lock step game the left or Con-inc do.
