I know the US-Mexican boarder is filled with kidnappings, US tourism, crimes, drugs and deaths.. lol migrants..,
But: There are smaller pockets of expats who are enjoying their freedom and life outside the United States!
Anyone on here living in Mexico or considering it as an option!?
Don't go to Mexico. It's not worth it buddy. The usa is still the best place to be even with all its flaws. Everyone and everything is subject to a cartel in Mexico
100% true. I dabbled with relocating to Mexico. Rented an apartment in QR up to Jun 22. I watched Mexico cave to the covid cult just like everywhere. Camera/thermometer scanning systems showing up at malls and stores. Near the end "the cartel" sent my s.o. threats to their phone addressing me, which they'd have no possibility of linking our identities together unless they worked at the mobile co. We scrapped the idea and left. We'll find a pocket of resistance to live with after the collapse.
Max Egan escaped to Mexico from Australia.
Where in Mexico.
I'm from San Antonio and that's darn near the same thing.
Costa Rica over Mexico ! Living in San Diego I travel to Mexico a lot ,, there are nice pockets wsy down south like right before Costa Rica ! Believe it or not many Americans bought property in Nicaragua and Columbia , it’s beautiful beaches , and great surfing are a plus and actually safer than Chicago and many other us cities ,,, but the DoGS :( I’d only live there if I could open a place a rescue all the dogs ,, to heartbreaking ,,
Hey Friend! I was just thinking about you the other day. I hope all is well. I’m headed to Kauai for six weeks pretty soon. Really looking forward to it.
I would also rather go to Costa Rica. Apparently El Salvador is getting better?
1 year no murders.
Chile was overrun by socialists, forced vax, illegal refugees living in the streets and committing crime openly without consequence. Santiago is a sh!thole now. Outside the city however you have a chance at a cheaper life although crime is very mature, scams are as advanced as here. But the good people are beautiful people, unlike other countries you will be welcome and be able to fit in. Just don't walk around with jewelry or tech that can be grabbed.
Their tariffs are very high, and much is pirated or cheap copies of what you find here, and you will pay more than here. So stock up on blue jeans and good shoes etc before going.
No where left to hide! We must stand up and fight!
I will be staying to fight the fight. I can't walk away the way things are.
I'd go to Mexico about the same time hell freezes over.
Belize is supposed to have a good ex-pat community if you just have to leave.
Former british colony street signs in english
Got stuck in Belize last May for 2 weeks because of Covid. Nicest people but Belize itself is a shit hole.
Good to know even though I am not leaving the US.
EXPRESS KIDNAPPING
In Mexico City they often kidnap people and drive them to an ATM for money, then release them.
I know someone that said her uncle was kidnapped. He owned an airport and lived on his own ranch. They paid the full ransom and never heard from him again.
I lived in the Philippines for 3 years, much better choice than Mexico. They have English as their send official language and their business is all in English.
How is life there?
People are friendly, cost of living about the same as Mexico. Away from the big cities there's not too much drug use, but booze is cheap for drinkers. When I left 2.5 years ago Beer was about 2 bucks a quart in town, more in the boonies. Rum is just over a buck a pint and tasty! I'm not much for drinking, but that is a common pass-time.
Im considering Japan. They are very conservative and don’t accept degeneracy like in the West. Good to raise kids, good food, education, culture, it’s safe(crimes are very low). They have many job positions they can’t fill because of their shrinking demographics.
Been there. It's nice. You'll never fit in and you'll never be accepted, but it was nice.
Eigo desu. You are correct. It's a very different culture.
They have so many nuances foreign people are not aware of. i.e. They think it's impolite to talk on your cellphone while on the subway.
My brothers live there for 30 years. He’s married to a Japanese woman. He’s having a fantastic life. I’ve visited several times, my mom live there for 10 years, and my daughter live there for one year. It’s a wonderful place.
I’ve heard mixed on Japan. Idk how easy it is to get permits either.

One of the big draw backs tho is one example you cant own a gun. I dont plan on moving out of the us but that would be where id probably go
People can make a gun practically anywhere using items from a hardware store!
That's unfortunately what happened to Abe.
If you move to Japan, get one of these: https://tse1.mm.bing.net/th?id=OIP.qJZ8iTK-L7K97doILLKbRAHaE8&pid=Api

Damn i love katanas howd i not think of that lmao
😺 🍱
No but I do know someone considering selling their place in British Columbia to move to Costa Rica and I know multiple people who already have or are considering moving to Nicaragua.
BIL moved from San Diego to Ensenada to live on savings. He scored a house on the beach for about $40k a few years ago and lives really cheap. The market has exploded since then and sounds to me like a bunch of weirdos down there though but he fits right in. LOL!! Lack of healthcare is an issue, he's American and can't work though he is retirement age. It all seems pretty boring after a while. Good place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there.
I used to live in what I call "little Mexico". It sucked. No thanks.
Where?
Let me let Bishop Bullwinkle say it:

Crosses my mind at least once a day when I see my fkn FICA bill every week!!
nope if i move it will be to Thailand....been there many times. and the money conversion of 34.8 to 1 isnt bad either. 4 br home on the beach in Koh Samoui 300,000 us..works for me
I have thought many times about it. Folks who decided to go live down there seem to speak pretty highly of it. Knowing where not to go seems to be a common theme, but beyond that they feel, and seem to be, safe. I hear that the people don't much care for the government, however they also suggest that, for the most part, the government leaves them alone. I just won't go anywhere that I am unable to take all of my belongings with me. ALL of them. So Texas will be as close as I ever get, more than likely .
I hear El Salvador is suddenly the place to be
Lol… unless someone releases the prisoners!
