Zero money is being spent on forest management, that's why we now have massive fires in Canada and California. Also keep in mind that forest fire is a natural event. Caused by lightning and underground fires that go undetected for decades, very few are man made. No fire brakes.
There are hundred of forest fires burning world wide. It is a part of nature, but when you neglect the clear cutting and fire brakes you get much bigger forest fires.
