Antarctica is not a high ice desert like they claim. Why would they guard the 60th parallel like it is our prison wall. What did operation Fish bowl reveal?
Not to mention Operation High-jump. As a young Coast Guard officer I've made 2 trips to Antarctica. Both on a Coast Guard Polar Icebreaker. This was in 74 & 75. Sad I wasn't aware of the things I'm aware of now or I would have paid more attention; made more observations; and asked more questions.
Its bizarre how they expect us to believe that all nations on earth agree on one thing while fighting about everything else. They are studying ice under military protection but nobody can go study ice with them or around them or even observe them studying ice. Ice is cold, the end. Oh I could go on & on. There are things they could do if they really wanted to reduce the amount of hydrocarbons that are converted to carbon. For instance: They could penalize industries that engineer obsolescence into their products & require that all things be made in a way that the common person could take it apart & repair it. If that were the case, things would last much longer & so less things would need to be made (hence less hydrocarbons would have to be converted to carbon dioxide) but instead the try to restrict farmers from raising animals
Actually true. Planned obsolescence, especially from products that do not receive tangible technological advancement in any reasonable amount of time (vacuums, leaf or snow blowers, mowers, microwaves, etc.) is awful.
In fact, planned obsolescence even for smaller electronics like phones are awful, because the new phones should have better features and performance or whatnot to drive you to upgrade, not death from normal use -- and don't even get me started on Apple's forced obsolescence.
People on Reddit would try to reason and have you believe that planned obsolescence allows them to control the death of the product for user expectations, but don't seem to understand that it allows them to make it fail earlier than a quality product would.
I've seen old and cared for microwaves last longer than they do today. It's a quality issue through and through.

Refrigerators used to last at least 40 years. I inherited my uncles old one 25 years ago. IT IT WAS USED THEN! No one used to ask how old - they used to just last & last. Washing machines, water heaters & all that stuff. Things only last 10 years now. It not only keeps us busy doing things we shouldn't have to keep doing it is even counter to their precious global warming argument. They are not making any sense & they aren't even trying to conceal it any more
And of course, even when those died they used to be repairable fairly easily.
They targeted that by expanding the market with so much planned obsolescence that parts dried up and forced you into it through that.
Yeah, some of the feature sets of new fridges are neat, and for tech nerds like me the screens on fridges are really cool (no pun intended...okay maybe some pun intended) but technology was never supposed to advance in such a way that it could only last 3-5 years with normal every day use.
Yeah exactly! In the old days if the car broke down you pull over & fix it. Now there's no hope, you have to get it towed., which if they really cared about their delusional point of "climate change" it would only make things worse. It's better for the climate if the average person can repair the common problems. smh Why does the Paris Accord say moot about making things easily repairable & without designed obsolescence? Amway's that's my argument with those climate buffoons if they ever have the capability to understand. It was PRO ENVIROMENTAL for Trump to get us out of that very authoritarian AND ANTI ENVIROMENTAL pact. Argue them on their points if you ever have a chance. More often than not though, they are too stupid to get it.
It's not just the environment though, it is basically robbing people of their time & money. It's not just the money to replace fridge, haul it up the stairs and "recycle" the old one. (btw they never really recycle them - it's just another grift) It's the time to do all that & not just that, it's lack of the the mental space. By the time the fridge is replaced you have to worry about the washer AND SO THERE IS NO EXTRA TIME LEFT TO JUST THINK. Because if people would just think, a little tiny bit, they would probably figure out what a big scam it all is & would also realize that the liberal narrative just doesn't hold water.... They might also realize that if a washing machine breaks down that often maybe we should just do our laundry in the tub.....
Speaking of screens, the LCD screen on my 1st laptop (lap breaker) of the late 80's STILL WORKS! I loved those old machines. Not much I can do with it today but they built them well back then.

Oh no. I worked during Kerry's race in 04 and I can tell you first hand the dem party DIDN'T want him and were pissed Florida drove his fundraising to get him past Iowa and New Hampshire. Party wanted Howard Dean and the party did whatever it could to derail Kerry. Then Bernie and boy was Hillary mad. Kerry will not be president.
BTW Kerry won in '04 according to the exit polls which were never wrong (until then, cough which was also the 1st time elec voting machines were nationwide)

I think he really honestly believed what he was peddling (which is why Trump calls in "crazy Bernie" but Trump never implied that Bernie was on the take like the others) People aren't too smart but they can sense when someone is honest. That's why he did so well then. Not so well in '20.
