My mom was also an anon. We lost her in July 2021. I like to think the ones we lost are watching over us and know exactly how wonderful the ending to this movie is going to be.

Thank you for the pin and for everyone else who reached out here today. He never really posted here much but he lurked and read almost every day and was always eager to discuss new happenings.
He's still lurking. And I betcha he leaves you a sign. It could be a bird at the window, a butterfly, a favorite song, an object that "wasn't there last time I looked".
I think there was a sign. He always had some Dr. Peppers he kept in the house as a treat and didn't want anyone else to touch. As a family we decided to do a little toast to him with them, and as we did it and remarked how flat they were due to being out of date (he liked flat soda) there was a sudden rumble of -loud- thunder very close to the house just seconds after the toast. There had been no thunder that day or any indication of storm, and no more for the rest of the evening. I think maybe we got a laugh out of him.
