This is a great scripture for those people who claim Jesus never claimed to be God, boom
The gospel of John, out of all the gospels, is where Jesus really and repeatedly asserts His deity. I always refer people to that gospel specifically when talking to them about God.
But that's not what he said. He immediately corrected the Pharisees who said that.
Jesus never called himself God. he declared he is the son of God, and one with God.
To the Jewish theologians at the time, they saw anyone declaring himself as the Son of God or One with God as saying that they literally are God.
Jesus emphasizes constantly that there is the Father and there is the Son. And while they are 100% united, together, they are also distinguishable and therefore different.
They the phrases were pissed because he kept doing miracles on the Sabbath. That's fucking insane. You see this guy make a lieral cripple walk and the first thing you bitch about is that he did it on Sunday. Fuck off.
Saturday. The Jewish Sabbath is Saturday. But good point. He made someone rise from the dead, so they figured they better kill him too because people were being persuaded. That's called "blindness." It's like the scientists who look at human DNA and figure that chance must have done it.
So many Jews missed the advent of the Messiah because they were so sure he would be a military leader, not some hippy preaching the golden rule and praying for one's enemies.
How many today will miss the workings of God because it doesn't come in the way they thought it would?
It's somewhat like today with Trump. He couldn't impose himself as a military dictator. Instead, he goes away and works on the hearts of the people, massive numbers are redpilled, then they beg him to come back. He didn't just preach the golden rule, He became a life-giving Spirit, who is able to enter into the hearts of people and fix what is messed up there, in order to deliver them from the authority of darkness and transfer them into His kingdom.
You caught my drift.
All have sinned.
"You're not the Son of God. We shall stone you to death"
So much to unpack here...
A. What would Jesus do?
B. Freedom of speech.
C. Who is [their] supposed "god" who would approve of this/violence/murder?
D. "Said the Jews" (fake Khazarian ones)
No, I was not your down vote.
A. Walk out from the midst of them ( see context)
B. Your right to speak is not limitless- Threats and violence do not accomplish what a just God requires,
C. Jesus called out this one -He said it was Satan (By describing their 'father' as Satan, He countered their claims against him.
D. Fake Jews , Yes, according to Jesus himself. (IF you were of Abraham's seed, you would have believed me)
No, not really. When do you want to side with the almost bumblingly wrong religious leaders of the time?
Keep reading, he identifies himself as the son of God.
This would have been a great place for him to reveal his god-hood if it were true.

John 1:1 The Word Became Flesh 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
1 John 5:7-8 For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one.
My one body is blood, water and spirit. God is one being as the the Father, Word and Holy Spirit.
"I am in the Father and the Father in me, and you are in me and I in you."
He doesn't mean he and the Father are the same being anymore than he mean he and his Apostles were. He implied that if you've seen Jesus and how he lived his life you've already seen the way the Father manifests in his children, because Jesus always sought to do the will of the Father.
So many strange doctrines have sprung up in spite of this.
1 John 5:20
And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
1 John 4:1-6
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
Funny how many scriptures there are to support pretty much whatever view you hold, huh?
I love the Word, it is amazing, but I don't get my views from man, only through the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
1 John 2:26-27
These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you. But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.
Sadly, any time someone argues their particular theology, they will either fall back on Scripture (I just believe what the scripture says) or on professing the Holy Spirit.
But in the end, it's a theology. It's a chosen interpretation. Sure, you think and believe that interpretation is right, but that's your belief, nothing else.
The thing is, God wants us to choose the right belief. He relies on us doing that. I'm not saying that you are wrong (whether I agree with your interpretation or not). I'm saying, at least recognize what you choose to believe, and that it is a choice, and also, that you are not infallible.
To not do so is to set one's self up as an idol, imo.
That's why I rely on the Word, He is righteous, not me. I cannot save me, only He can. He is the Truth, not me.
Edit: Also, the purpose of Jesus sending the Spirit is that he wants a direct relationship with us individually, not through man, because we are falible. Also the reason I use scriptures, I am not righteous, He is
2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,
Wait Frac, wait……. Let me get this straight…… after I went to your site, bought several statues, the gold plated options even and was not cheap, several copies of your relax book, floor mat with your photo, and personalized and signed Fractal shrine, you now don’t want to be an IDOL!?!?!
Well…. But…. I ……. WTF do I do with this stuff then and how do I get my hours of bowing to your shrine back?! Plus I’m 2 days past the 30-day money back guarantee!! And now you decide not to be worshiped!! And to think I gave up my spot in Heaven. Dammit!
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣. JK.
agree to disagree.
Agreed. In fact I’d take it a step further. Reads to me that he’s suggesting that not only is he a son of God, but that we all are.
“Is it not written in your law ‘I have said, ye are Gods, children of the most high’?”
“According to your faith be it done unto you.”
“Thy faith hath made thee whole.”
“Be ye therefore perfect, even as thy Father in heaven is perfect.”
“You are the salt of the earth.”
“You are the light of the world.”
“But I say unto you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven.”
Don’t tell Paul that, though. Would ruin all the idolatry he created. Nobody likes all that personal responsibility stuff anyway.
Great comment 👍
So jesus is his own father that got his mother pregnant with himself?
Can you walk on water?
What do you mean by this question? Of course he can. And so can you. The fact that you haven't doesn't mean that you can't. You think only Jesus walked on water?
You assume that I haven't
Sort of. I assume your question was meant to imply that Jesus was something the rest of us aren't. Maybe you didn't mean that.
Yes, and a friend of mine wrote a book about it. So that makes it fact evidently.
ok
If you dont believe me you'll burn in hell for all eternity, because i love you.
