Yup. I was so angry when they implemented this in the airports. I refused to go through their scanners. Instead I was told I’d have to be patted down. I agreed to it as long as it was done in public by another woman.
I was asked why I didn’t want to go through the scanner. I said I didn’t believe the scanners were safe and it was my only way to protest their unconstitutional search. I also said if everyone asked for the pat downs it would back up all entry into airport concourses and cause them to rethink the law.
The next time I flew they gave me special access without needing to go through the scanners nor the pat downs
Unfortunately there are too many sheep who folliw unconstitutional orders
The panel rejected the government’s contention that the proviso is limited to officers with traditional police powers, the report said. The panel also rejected the government’s contention that TSOs are not officers partly because the Airport Transportation Security Act refers to them as “employees,” where the Act defines employees to include officers, the report said.
So, the government was pretending that TSOs were not officers, but employees. That makes it allright then. No other 'employee' has the right to grope people. Finally some common sense, but knowing Dems, they will double down, and appeal, again.
Everyone needs to stop calling these morons "Agents". WND called them agents the whole way through the article. These guys are too stupid to be agents. I'd prefer "goons" but "officers" is probably more correct.
I remember the first time TSA was installed in Austin (I've since moved). I traveled about 80% of the time for work. I went through the line and was shocked to see one of our old foster kids wearing the uniform and working the x-ray. Dude was a criminal with a felony gun conviction in the past.
There is something everyone is missing here. This just increased the federal law enforcement ranks by 50,000+. TSA also already had federal LEOs - the Air Marshals are the LEOs for the TSA. There are also others that are less well-known.
For that matter, pilots that go through the training are federal LEOs and carry federally-issued guns. They don't have arrest powers, but can use deadly force. They are limited though - they are only FLEOs from the time the doors are secured to when they are opened again (so taxi, takeoff, flight, landing, and taxi).
I bet DHS will demand more pay now that they are LEOs, and I wonder if their qualifications will increase - like requiring a college degree and advanced training...
One last thought - 87k more IRS agents, 50k TSA goons reclassified as FLEOs - what are they planning for?
TSA's existence is an assault.

Very true. If everyone ignored unconstitutional orders and programs over the last 100 years, we probably wouldn't be in this mess now.
The TSA is nothing but Security Theater.
They made flying into a truly shitty and irritating experience.
TSA-- --------- is an ass----.
There - that looks better.
Good, now do the whole patriot act…
Agreed!

🫣 one of the comments read "That was not a search, that was a date!"
Thank God common sense prevailed here. TSA is a joke, having experienced these searches several times myself.

This is great news!

South Park TSA
EXCUSE ME, SIR! I JUST NEED TO CHECK YOUR ASSHOLE!
SIR?!
So if I turn down the scanner, and accept the groping, can I still sue?
