Reports of French military on the streets shooting looters on sight.
The rioting & looting continues.

You should now understand why they were shutting down the internet in select neighborhoods. They knew the only thing some people understand is a bullet.
Will our country go this route when we enter the ten days of darkness? There is a big difference here. The thugs and their invaders will be armed and shooting back, so measures might have to be a little more ruthless than just popping a few looters.
I heard stories about the aftermath of hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. I don't have sauce just things I was told by a few people that I personally trust.
Initially first responders couldn't get into the city because looters were firing on them. SF teams were sent in to "put the looters down". I knew of one person who was on one of the teams.
Good for the military. They get what they deserve. Now round up all the illegals and put them on a boat back to their country of origin.
Oh no ~~~ they're mom's good boys and joggers.
The vehicle had Police written on the side. Why say it's military?
France actually has two major Police Forces.
The National Police. Who are entirely Civilian and usually handle Law Enforcement and security in major urban centers.
And the Gendarmerie. Which are Military Police. And due to tradition and history. They function in a dual role of Civilian/Military Police. They are normally stationed in Rural and Suburban areas outside city propers.
The affected areas have been seeing Gendarmerie deployments from outlying suburbs.
THANKS FOR THE distinction btwn Gendarmerie & just "the police"... as well as updates on the continuing French rioting, etc.
Yes, Spain also has something similar.
Disturbing to see none the less.
I hope this is correct it is the only way to stop those mad dogs.
This is what US cities will look like next summer.
Ya think we will make it that long?
A few maybe. If we just accept this as our fate and become apathetic it certainly will happen in more places than it would have.
there are some people that words cannot reach. they must be shown the consequences of their actions. they must be made to fear & respect those around them.
Rubber bullets?
Given the rhetoric of the Police Unions. The fact they’ve taken steps to shut off and limit domestic communication. And the degrading internal Situation. It may in fact be live rounds.
Its possible and fairly likely they’re still using Rubber Bullets. But live rounds are definitely a possibility at the moment.
Though I’d expect it’d be difficult to hide even with limited communication.
We are at the point where they can just go for it and shoot a few looters and see if there's any GENUINE public outrage or if the media hype falls flat and most people side with the police. Once that happens and one country gets that green light, we may be off to the races...
It was difficult to see but it looked to me like a normal rifle and not one for firing rubber baton rounds. Could have been some kind of less lethal rounds like frangibles or blanks to scare people.
Could be right, looks like warning shots to me because as if it was full on you'd see many more rounds fired one would think.
The question is whether the military and police are fed up enough with the government to stop taking other orders unrelated to looting. If they just restore order and go back to allowing constant sporadic crime that's been the norm there for years now, that's no win. Assuming they're really standing up for a change then France is fall from fallen, but that's a big assumption.
I saw muslims shooting machine guns into the air in the streets. That alone warrants death. Those bullets will all come down somewhere...
Multi cultural bliss
Some friends of ours are in Paris and they said there are no fires or looting just normal there.
