I feel mildly bad for the background actors and extras. Mildly. As for the rest of them. Writers and Actors alike. Why should I care exactly if they get replaced with AI? Or if the studios go bust? Lord knows there’s people online who routinely put out content better then anything the Movie Studios have produced in over a decade
Frankly, I would not shed a tear if it all goes. We would be much better off without all of it - especially our children. Maybe they could learn to read.

It wasn't long ago when the 'creative class' were gloating that factory workers and the like might get replaced by automation. Turns out robots are expensive and difficult to maintain, so I won't have to learn to code anytime soon. Meanwhile computer programs that can do their jobs are becoming better and better every day. They'll have to learn how to operate a forklift pretty soon.

Yup. First thing that caught my eye. Signaling who they report to.
Other than the news reporting on this, I have not noticed any difference with the strike. It is just not obvious in my viewing habits which have greatly diminished over the past few years.
In the limited time I do allow for viewing enjoyment, I find that there are plenty of old movies to watch and old series to rewatch.

The psychiatrist is socially left leaning. The demon lays bare the lies. Very thought provoking. I found myself rooting for the demon.
