More casualities of woke indoctrination at the age of ten.
I am so glad we homeschool. We still have to screen everything else they are exposed to. My wife and I are starting to notice that my seven year old usually doesn't get along with other childern that have lefty parents.
Make sure the kids know that NOT being like everyone else is JUST FINE and WONDERFUL, even. Noah and his family were definitely not like the rest, and God blessed them for it!
God bless you both for homeschooling. A lot of work, and can test your patience, but 99% of families I know that homeschool work out incredibly well. If they don't, the problems always preceded the change to homeschooling.
Me too! He gets along best with other home schoolers. Also, kids who aren't tied to their ipads and video games. He just finished a summer sports camp where they did just sports and games for four hours each morning with an ex-marine. I felt like it was safe because his own son and daughter were there too. That is all an 8 year old kid wants to do anyways, get all that energy out instead of sitting in a chair all day.
I know one that's in something like that, and then another week it will be jr. golf in the early a.m., and now he's got 2 hours a day jump start to 5th grade on top of all that. And naturally he's earned some time to spend how he likes, and 100% of the time it's screens he'll choose. Grades are great at the private school, and he is seriously booked compared to what I remember summer being. The common couple weeks at overnight church camp, or soccer camp. Great times btw. But damn, now that kids don't roam the neighborhood nearly as much and their time is often so regimented or planned, for better or worse. Also one has to realize that he better get good at screen life and it's attendant cultures. It's where the kids roam now. I'm rambling.
But yeah. Just sucks to have to battle screens sometimes for attention. I know, I know, I should relax. The kids are alright.
Yes, we have to structure their time now, unlike the past. Different world. He loves the video games too when he steals the phone from us! I know other kids that do the screen all day with no extracurricular. It's like they don't know how to enjoy other things or use their imagination.
We tried it all - public school, private school, church based private school & home-school. We home schooled for a total of 23 years. Our 2 youngest children were home schooled thru out junior and senior high school. Home school is definitely the best option, especially today. When we started homeschooling the internet was available, later it was.
Friend's son (just finished 9th grade) failed a mandatory Health class because he refused to play into all of the gender - games. Wouldn't answer questions on a mandatory 'packet' containing topics such as the OP's example in the curriculum and now he must repeat the same class, with the same Health teacher. My friend is trying to appeal to the school to get a 'pass' grade (or an exemption to having to take the class again) because of personal beliefs but it has been all summer now and no response from the schools. If he starts home schooling now (10th grade), the 'f' stays on the kid's record. As it stands, he has to retake the same class to replace the grade. Can anyone think of a good legal argument to counter this? Is it worth a lawyer at this point?
Unless he's planning on going to Harvard or something of that caliber, an F in 9th grade doesn't mean much. As long as he has a good average GPA throughout the rest of his schooling, that should be all that matters.
It's all a great diversion away from developing intellectual minds. Instead of teaching what I like to call (It gets their attention) the 'R's (Reading, wRiting, and aRithmatic), they are teaching destructive social engineered BS.
If you can believe over 20 years ago my 6th grade son came home from school and told me about a survey he was given in class. It asked how many different drugs they had done, how many drugs they did per week, per day (of course the survey provided a lengthy list of what was available), and if they were having sex and if yes, how many times a week. There were many other invasive off the wall questions.
When I called the principal to complain he was sympathetic. Saying he hadn't known what was in the survey. He told me the survey had come from the University of Wyo (a conservative state!). I was seriously shocked to hear his explanation. Obviously, this crap has just gotten worse.
Remember those DARE and GREAT things from school? I intentionally failed those by giving joke answers and doodling in the booklets. The only consequence was I wasn't invited to the pizza party afterwards. Bet if i was a kid these days and was given bullshit like this I'd probably get expelled for that answers I'd write.
That's not education it's ideological indoctrination. There's no statement of fact in any of that shit. There's no right answers, just opinions and they want to pretend that some opinions are the correct ones.

You are wonderful. I am so glad to hear about homeschool parents.

Mentally ill.
Mentally ill.
Normal.
Really mentally ill.
Sickening…
Yes. Did you see the one about teachers who couldn't even pass basic math or geography wanting reparation?
My parents home schooled us for several years. Best thing.

Meanwhile kids in other countries are doing physics and calculus that Americans won't take until high school.
Q: ...so and so might be described as?
A: A flaming moron.
The comments on Twitter are hilarious.
Three of the four are delusional. The last is probably pretty mixed up, but still has a grasp on reality. So sad.
How do we know this wasn't made by the OP? Did they name the school?

Well I would have failed this test. I thought the answer to all except the one was faggot.
