EDIT: Update from my BIL retired Navy Commander. He's participated in LSE's but nothing this big. D-Day would the only comparison but he described that as being "one theatre of operations" and said 22 time zones is huge.
Hmm. That one was 17 time zones. These are much larger than anything my BIL was involved in but he has been retired for some time. Has to be at least 15 years maybe more. I'd have to check. He's around 70 now.
I think the claim this is unprecedented is false. I think it's clear the military has done three times before and the last one was nearly this big. So if something is making some big claim this is not what the military is saying it is, they need to provide some really big evidence to back it up.
Right now there's evidence this is anything, but normal.
What the Navy is saying they are doing is testing a concept called DMO or DISTRIBUTED MARITIME OPERATIONS. They have come up with concept because there's so many ways to attack ships with long range missiles these days, the have had to come up with new doctrine. This exercise is a way to test if this new doctrine works.
Long ago and far away, I was in the USMC for 4 years. I remember participating in two exercises (training), one in Vieques, Puerto Rico, and one at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. Both involved the Atlantic Naval Fleet and the Air Wing out of Cherry Point, NC, and us ground pounders and grunts from Camp Lejeune. They were pretty big exercises but I was never involved in, nor have I ever heard of, an exercise this large or this comprehensive. Maybe something IS afoot, I'll just wait and see....
Heh, yeah good luck with that. I filed (had throat cancer in 2013) but I doubt I'll ever see a penny. Oh well, I did my duty and am a better man because of it.
Agree...Air Force CSR...Was in PR for a Combined Exercise between Navy, Marines, Air Force and Army...Pretty interesting stuff BUT I do agree that 6 components and 22 time zones...
I used to see these exercises simply as a show of force, but now I recognise that they are strategic, denying options to our enemies at critical times.
Apparently this “LSE” (large scale exercise) is something they started doing in August 2021 and is supposed to be a triennial event (every 3 years) which makes me wonder why they’re doing it again after only 2 years.
U.S. Marines worked with servicemembers from Great Britain, France and Canada during Large Scale Exercise-17 at Twentynine Palms, Calif., Aug. 15-21, 2017. LSE-17 is a multinational exercise, led by 2nd Marine Division, with elements from the United Kingdom, France, Canada and II Marine Expeditionary Force, focused on integrating all capabilities of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force and coalition forces.
Marines with 1st Marine Expeditionary Brigade overcome obstacles to successfully install a new bridge during Large Scale Exercise 2014 aboard Marine Corps Air Ground Combat center Twentynine Palms, Calif. LSE-14 is a bilateral training exercise being conducted by 1st MEB to build U.S. and Canadian forces’ joint capabilities through live, simulated, and constructive military training activities
Interesting, I was quoting the blog post I linked that mentioned 2021 was the first iteration of the event. I guess these previous LSE events were run by the marines and the 2021 and current one are being run by the navy while integrating the marines? Not sure.
It seems like they have expanded it each time. They had other large exercises before 2014, but they were not called LSE which I'm guessing is a recent term.
I dont see where there were seven numbered fleets (which is the ENTIRETY of the Navys numbered fleets) and 22 time zones (which covers all but two of the worlds time zones). That is the obvious point here not the fact that the military runs large scale excercises. No shit the military runs large scale exercises, they always have.
I dont understand how people here dont see you as a shill. Its really quite obvious.
Do you think I made up the fact the Military using the specific term Large Scale Exercise? As opposed to just a Large Exercise? And it specifically refers to something they do ever three years. The guy in the video may have just learned about these but he's wrong, these have happened before. He may think they have ever done anything global in scale like this, but he's wrong. The last one was global in scale.
This LSE-23 exercise is new iteration of one they ran in 2021 (only two years ago because of covid.) That was also Global in Scale. I didn't link to this because the other poster already mentioned it
Here's the map from 2021. Count the fleets, count the time zones. Does this meet your standards?
Massive 2021 U.S. Naval Drills Will Include Multiple Carriers and Amphibious Ready Groups
The Navy and Marine Corps plan to conduct a large scale exercise involving multiple strike groups and multiple numbered fleets next year, after the original plans for a Large Scale Exercise 2020 this year were postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The chief of naval operations and commandant of the Marine Corps said today that Large Scale Exercise 2021 would be the first major live test of the Distributed Maritime Operations (DMO), Littoral Operations in a Contested Environment (LOCE) and Expeditionary Advance Base Operations (EABO) concepts that are driving the bulk of their ongoing budget and acquisition decisions.
“We want to take a deeper look at DMO, LOCE, EABO and how they tie together. And so that’s important for us conceptually to ensure those concepts in a way we can visualize whether or not we need to course-correct, whether or not we’re headed precisely in the right direction,” CNO Adm. Mike Gilday said today while speaking at the U.S. Naval Institute’s annual Defense Forum Washington event.
....
Commandant Gen. David Berger, who spoke alongside Gilday, said that the Navy and Marine Corps had conducted plenty of exercises that focused on smaller-scale conflict that could be contained to a particular geographic area, “but against a peer adversary, there’s a clear acknowledgement that you’re probably not going to be able to contain it into a local, small region – which drives you towards multiple numbered fleets, multiple [Marine Expeditionary Forces]. The Large Scale Exercise is going to go beyond a single numbered fleet and a single MEF; it’s going to tie together, stitch together multiple fleets, multiple MEFs, on more of a globally integrated scale.”
Interesting. What's up for 2s-day 8/8? Trump may have pointed to something "too honest" in the "Dark Side of the Ring" episode "The World According to MJ on that day.
Edit: Just noticed the HAMMER on the Red shirt in the video. And since it was announced on 7/24, there's also this potential Navy tie in with the Bonhomme Richard investigation.
My cousin is in the marines he works on the f35 program and was deployed to an aircraft carrier over towards Taiwan sometime around June. I'm sure he's going to be busy during this exercise. Praying for him to stay safe!
There have been exercises in Savannah, Georgia, since the middle of July. I hear a large number of Black Hawks and fighter jets screaming past my house almost daily.
When anything dramatic happens in D.C. I ask a friend who lives there if they are affected and ok. I will be doing that again of course. There used to be someone who street -reported in D.C., I can't remember his name though. But also there is the person known as Nancy Drew but she is on FB.
The Sound of Freedom will be released in the UK … in September.
The discovery in Trump’s case will likely take a month or even longer.
I don’t think anything extraordinary will happen until the above are completed.
The game theory approach might be: to maximise the outcome. The population awareness increases chances of success, so I assume they will wait for these to happen.
But: The above doesn’t mean there can’t be some other non-Epstein islands where the marines would pay a “surprise” visit in the meantime …
do you really think Trump isn't ready for Russia? do you think Trump would send his troops into a trap? i believe Trump is still in charge of our military and i don't think Russia is our enemy.
if, and that's a big IF, Biden is doing this, Biden could be sending these poor souls to Ukraine to help. Pray it is Trump in charge. too many scenario's to be 100% sure of what is going on but my money is on Trump being in charge of our military.
August 9-18 = 10 days

True
be a good time for some mass arrests , just saying!
6+7+22=35---Q35 u/#q35
Note the drop before this.
What's the 6 7 22 from
7 fleets and 6 components in 22 itme zones.
Sounds like they will be spread scary thin.
Also sounds like something the military might do to survive something catastrophic... Like multi front nuke attack or asteroid impact...
Or to be able to bypass the WWW in order to transmit data via make shift line of sight relay.
6 maritime Coponents - 7 fleets - 22 time zones .
Disregard I found it. Here's the actual link:

Thanks for your service, fren.
My brother from another mother, I was USMC proud from '80 to '86. I'm still waiting for my Camp LeJeune water settlement. Watch the water. LOL
Heh, yeah good luck with that. I filed (had throat cancer in 2013) but I doubt I'll ever see a penny. Oh well, I did my duty and am a better man because of it.
Yes sir, my statement was more tongue-in-cheek.
No worries, fren, we're all in this together. As you were and carry on.
That's when my brother was in the USMC.

I just had to say it...🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is NOT a drill, good one.
Semper Fi from a squid (63-66) leathernecks!! o7
Thanks, squid, veterans ROCK! Some of my best friends are former Navy.
I used to see these exercises simply as a show of force, but now I recognise that they are strategic, denying options to our enemies at critical times.
Something is being prevented.
I would love it if it was the 'take back' real event and not an actual exercise. It's time. We are ready.

Well, we know what usually happens after/during their "exercises" and "drills".
At 1:37 in the video:
And I say, "Why not both?" 🤷♂️
All the big companies are planning back to work drives to get all the employees back in for September. Interesting timing for the "just after" option.
Things that make you go, "Hmmm..."🤔

I hope that the Navy does not shoot down any commercial airliners (Flight 800)
2 week summer reserve drills always happen in August.

I wish our vets looked and acted like like vets and didn't need to display insignia everywhere and incessantly remind us they are vets.
If the Marines and Navy decide to do something versus Russia, they will all die.
We have no capability to fight Russians.
They have ISR and EW warfare.
Our country had never fought this.
They will obliterate us.
Are we that stupid?
