EVs are EVIL being foisted on us to believe that we need to do shit about bullshit "Climate Change" and in the meantime, kill as many people in Africa as possible through the mining for the batteries.
It’s the weight! Imaging driving your car. With standard seatbelts. Standard airbags. Standard safety measures that are for your make a model. Now…here comes a head on collision with a tree, and 50mph. Do you feel safe? In modern vehicles nowadays your most likely will be. But let’s add something. Let’s say, 2000lbs in the back seat. Yea. In some cases even more. Now, same situation…how well do you think you’ll fair now? Your entire vehicle from tires to trim is designed under vehicles that have been made for several decades now. Your vehicle will crush bend and pop to its current weight. When they added thousands of pounds of batteries, in a current safety system, there is no safety system. These cars are death machines. Esp when they hit each other.
Same metal, same seat belts, same airbags, nothing new to offset the weight. Nothing to add to keep you from getting crushed like a tomato in a tin can. Even if it rolls on it’s top. Your done. 2-3000lbs hitting a tree can be devastating. Now it’s twice as bad.
That definitely makes a lot of sense, BUT......are you 100% certain the manufacturer's haven't at all accounted for the added weight of EV batteries when designing safety systems??
I’m getting my info from many sources(car guys) on YouTube that Ive watched for years. Scotty Kilmer for one. He’s probably the most knowledgeable in vehicles I’ve heard from. He goes over these EV’s fairly regularly. Talk about insurance companies coverage and what’s probably gonna happen sooner rather than later. If you want more info just look him up. He’s a bit wild, lol, but he’s legit.
It is basic chemistry. Lithium has the highest combustion energy with oxygen or fluorine than any other element (except beryllium). This means it will burn the oxygen out of water, carbon dioxide, calcium carbonate (limestone powder), sand (silicon dioxide), iron oxide, etc. It will burn the fluorine out of any halocarbon fire extinguishing agent (as the firefighters at the 787 lithium battery fire in Boston discovered) or fluorinated plastic (like Teflon). Literally, the only way to extinguish a lithium fire is to smother it in a layer of molten metal (Class D extinguisher). (Spraying it with liquid nitrogen or argon is possible, but not really feasible.)
Think of how tenacious a magnesium fire is and then double it in intensity. Imagine such vehicles parked closely together (as in parking garages) and one of them lights off. Like so many piles of lumber impregnated with phosphorus.
Electric toy cars largely driven by virtue signaling idiots in a contrived effort to convince their peers of their righteousness and phony commitment to the environment.
I will never by an electric car and will happily keep driving my Durango with a gas guzzling V8 Hemi engine.
never get you to the top on this thread. Shouldn't be difficult to find an actual EV burning out of control. But this video isn't one of them. Can actually see the tanks shooting through the air
video is not of EV if I remember it was a truck carrying some kind of combustible gas containers hints the multiple explosions as well as the containers on fire on the ground. still EVs are not as safe as they claim, and there are videos of them out there but to use a fake video of a different scenario does not help get the word out.

Mining for the "lithium" in some cases is the only job to be had.
...an bet yur ass the joos have their hand in it.
Every...
And a battery frenzy it is. Most of the time insurance companies will total an EV for minor shit because it's too expensive to repair.
I hate that my son-in-law drives a Tesla...I share truth to deaf ears...not uncommon...

How did they pass any crash testing?

Lol he’s definitely good.
"How did they pass any crash testing?"
Easy to buy ones way in just as everyone does at the corporate/government levels. Beast system.
Always follow the $$$

Any source on this, and/or where it happened? I don't doubt it's at least 1 EV but would like to redial some folks, need more info.

Not an EV, just a truck carrying gas containers

Right. There are plenty of videos out there. But to see that the op had no idea or willfully posted a fake one is ridiculous.

Sauce for the Video not being an EV: https://youtu.be/S7wUIJJpvcE
I know its youtube but its where I could find the full length video.
My parent’s fence was melted by an exploding EV Amazon delivery van 2 weeks ago.
It literally looks like a bomb went off, there’s a crater in the street from it lol
I might get an EV but only after the Presidential motorcade transfers to EVs.
This was in russia with a truck carrying large amounts of gas canisters. No ev cars.

The good news? They couldn't be too far from home.
Y'all didn't see the RORO ship on fire?
