The hilarious part was the jerk was smoking a cig and giving us a lecture on health. He said it was all Republicans who died, not Democrats of Covid so wear a mask cause it saves lives. We should have walked on because the Left can get violent and he had 2 dogs he could have unleashed on us, but I couldn't help but tell him as we walked off "I'm Native American and don't take health advice from rude, white privileged guys who smoke. And BTW, I'm a registered Independent, part Ojibwa and a lot of Republicans and Democrats fell for the Covid b.s.. " My hispanic neighbor upped me and scolded him in Spanish. I translated it for him: "She said Where's YOUR mask?" He was pissed. Next time, we'll ignore the fool.

Cigarette smoker guy is kinda based. Nicotine binds to the same ACE receptor as the virus and reduced your chances of catching by 7x and reduced chances of hospitalization by the same amt in some studies I saw early on from Italy and Israel.

If you make your own vape juice (i.e. don't buy the crap from China) you can control your nicotine and don't have to hope the pre-made stuff is not laden with extra chemicals. It also makes it easy to slowly taper your nicotine instead of being stuck on whatever the vape shop sells.
I get my (food-grade) VG from Amazon (1 gal bottle), and the flavoring and nicotine from The Vape Mall. I don't use PG - gives me a headache. It is easy to make - there are e-juice apps.
That should help your wife to relax if you can show her it is WAY cheaper, you know what you are getting, and you are tapering your nicotine.
