The goat is looking to the left, which also symbolizes backward thinking.
The X is not contained within the goat, rather just outside of it, precisely at the point of a perfect killshot when shooting a goat, the heart and lungs...
The tail of the X leads off to the right and away from the goat, instead of to the left and incorporating with the goat.
Symbology caries with it an immense amount of nuance. Nuance which I think you may be missing...
EDIT: Also, the sphere of the planet is cutting off the tip of the goats horns. You missed a lot of symbolism here...........
I would like to add to the symbology: that is a waning crescent moon which is the last phase before a new moon. ie a new beginning.
No, it's a representation of the moon. Just as the "X" is not a perfect X. I have a tattoo that I designed of a waxing crescent moon, but it is what I as the artist wanted it to be which is also not a perfect circle but it still represents the moon.
I believe this is the correct take. It looks like the goat is in the crosshairs.

Sort of. But it’s pandering to an audience. There is nothing funny about Elon Musks symbolism of Baphomet to represent his company which is heavily funded by tax payers. It’s a mockery.

Perhaps, but all of it is incased in the moon which stands for delusion, false light, irregular emotionality and constant change ... the opposite of stability.
So you see a horned goat figure incased in a symbol for instability and delusion and this a good thing?

The funny part us that the SCOTS football team is completely unaware what their logo represents, and think Musk just randomly stole it.

Just thank the Lord it wasn't Rangers or Celtic's logo he stole, they will hunt him down and play with him, especially if Rangers and/or Celtic lost at home.
People do all sorts of mental gymnastics to justify their beliefs.
Imagine if some liberal somewhere had this as a logo for their business. Most people here would be running to get their torches and pitchforks to go break down their door and save all the enslaved children they must have in the basement.

It’s just weird looking-what’s a goat got to do with rockets or space exploration…a logo should be bright, colorful, convey a message in a picture… not a course in symbolism…
