Most of the people you feel sorry for live on pizza, fast food and smoke. Even people with EBT cards can buy dry goods and prepare. There was a couple up the road from me that you would think was really poor but the 32 year old with six kids---of which he raised none of them----just splattered himself on a crotch rocket. They did drugs, smoked and neither has a job. I feel sorry for the kids and we have a bundle of people like that living on the system!
TIL poor people dont exist. TIL People cant have multiple kids; be a single mother and struggling with basic needs. And if they are they must be on drugs or spending frivolously on those damn avocado toasts. I bet those poor people took out a loan for a car like a gosh dang sinner they are! How dare they live so lavishly.
You need to visit your communities more. Plenty people are just dealt shitty cards and are stuck with low wages in this inflated environment or have other ailments that dont just magically cure themselves. Heck, even some who are a little autistic will probably struggle beyond.
leave the judgements to God. I hope these people have their daily bread just as I wish to have mine. Who am I to get food vs them?
I understand being poor. I've always been just on the edge. Been a single mom. Had two husbands, the first (10 years married) couldn't keep his pants on. Came from a good Christian family and ran with topless dancers. Him drugs? Yeah. Me no.
My second husband died after twenty years. Good Christian family. He didn't want to work. He put the kids on the bus and stared at tv for years. Good man, just a rotten husband.
I worked from 14, went to college, got two degrees, drove 110 miles one way to work. The biggest vacation I got was camping once every year. I didn't have clothes, hair cuts or my nails done. I was a single mom twice! I shopped for the kids at garage sales, clipped coupons, had gardens, and prepped before prepping was a thing. My house was clean and my kids had manners and chores. There were times I paid $450 a check in soc sec. I managed to buy a $40k house at 13pct interest. I refinanced when my husband died and still owe $20k.
Basically I worked my ass off. I'm tired of people being given hand outs because they can't do the same or even try.
In 2016 my health went to pot and I started collecting SSDI. Now l listen to people whine and call me a boomer (hate that word) because my Soc Sec is considered a handout.
Don't talk to me about handouts!! Lazy ass, demanding people with no pride and no ambition get handouts! I believe in a hand up! I have no patience for you world view. The welfare state needs to teach reciprocity. No one should be given a handout because they are "poor". They should be given the right to glean after the thresher is done, those with drive and ambition will not be poor long. Those that remain poor, should.
Instead of social credit score we should be charting a work ethic score.
So you believe the American dream is dead. I believe it still exists but that you have to do some thing to earn that blessing. That society is less by the fake persona constructed by the members of the gimmee society we live in.
I used to sing a song to my kids when they whined about wanting something they couldn't have "Gimmees don't get. Gimmees don't get. If you want what you don't have yet, don't you know that gimmees don't get?" I think when you want something bad enough, you'll work for it. Otherwise you have no right to expect someone else to give it to you. Our current paridigm is reversed.
I believe in a hand up, not a handout. Regardless of the underlying answer to your question, expecting something productive from those requiring financial help hurts no one.
I hear ya. I have noticed a few generations of people do not know what it is like to work, save, then purchase what you really want/need. When we purchased our first home, interest rates were running around 15%. We were lucky and got a 10.9% interest rate being a first time home buyer. All we did was work, eat at home, pay off all bills and save for a down payment on a small home (under 1200 square feet). When we finally got the keys to the home, we splurged and bought a small dining room table ($144). We used a couple of twin mattresses for a couch. We saved and saved for each piece of furniture etc we wanted. Now, we have watched people purchase huge homes and then completely furnish them like a model home with a new vehicle or two in the garage and doesn't understand that borrowing on credit means you need to pay it back. I am almost at the age to think about getting SS. I don't know in a month or so if I will register to get it now because it is so low. I worker and paid into the system. Illegals here are getting treated so great while every day Americans who follow the laws (illegals break a federal law daily by staying here).
Now you're speaking my language. 100pct agree. Lol I had to smile about your couch. My first end tables were cardboard drums that I covered with contact paper. My dining table was from my grandma. One of those baked enamel ones that sell as antiques now. Couple of bedroom lamps from Monkeywards in the living room, a poaster for art and my waterbed from home. We started in a one bedroom apartment smaller than my current living room. And I'm still in that 1300 sq foot home we bought a year later. We didn't need much and thought we were in high cotton when I planted pansies near the concrete slab they called a patio. Good memories. BTW... If you make an appt with Soc Sec they can help you decide the best thing for your situation. Loved your comment. Thanks for the smile.
I’ve used the boomer term, and it’s not about folks like you. I think it addresses your basic RINO country club republican or limousine liberals as Rush called them.
No civil unrest? You mean the unrest that BLM caused in 2020? My take on things is that the military/NG will shut down the streets with martial law to quell mass unrest
Meanwhile in Australia the system is pushing for emergency preparedness. Unlike America who seems to already do this for hurricanes etc it's never been a big thing here. Yet now numerous gov bodies are warning us to be prepped 🤨🤔
I don't know. If they want us depopulated and more dead bodies helps push their propaganda, why warn anyone to prep? The people weren't warned about 9/11, Pearl Harbor, etc.
My own brother, who is lived in Japan for 40 years told my mom yesterday that she should probably go to the shooting range. If he knows, then anybody should know.
Born In 1956, Kennedy’s murder, Kings murder, Lennon murder, Bobby’s murder, Vietnam war open my eyes, again Waco, again Ruby ridge, again Iraq wars 1and 2 and again Afghan, again 911, again Ukraine war, I sleep with one eye open, a gun in each room, during that time and up to now cock and loaded. Ronald Reagan “Most Terrifying Words – ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help.’”
I just bought one of those Li-ion battery jump starters for the car. It has a strong light on it that you can set to strobe (and there are 2 rate settings for strobe). It would help to sort of blind people a bit.
I also have a rock hammer in my car and some pretty big rocks.
Don’t worry, think of the necessary « scare event » Q warned us about.
Yep. This. They told us they're doing the heavy lifting.
Q says no civil unrest. I trust the plan. Stay cozy and you’ll be fine. I feel horrible for people without the means to buy a supply of food
Re read post 34. It doesnt say there will be no unrest, quite the opposite. What it does say is it will be met with swift fury.
Seeing what happened to Maui,
I also recently re-thought about Q’s promise:
It was a bit silly of me to 100% trust that we would be 100% safe when we’re fighting a real global war against the most power evils on earth.
It was a good reality check.
Seriously.

Actually I judge and find these people capable, you judge and find them incapable. We are both judging but I have faith in them, you don't.

You are welcome! I will check into Soc Sec. Thank you.
Many breadwinners feel the same about their spouses as you do your second spouse, yet don't come across as bitter as you.
Yep thats me. Glad you have me pegged.

You make your bed hard you just have to roll over more often.
There’s a lot of hey sucks to be you going on right now and it’s quite interesting
I’ve been sick for 4 years and unable to work. Many out there like me, the plan isn’t working so well for a lot of us.
We are supposed to love eachother and have compassion for one another. We are all sinners.. Truly.
No civil unrest? You mean the unrest that BLM caused in 2020? My take on things is that the military/NG will shut down the streets with martial law to quell mass unrest
Q says no civil war but massive widespread riots. So yes, lots of civil unrest.

Because they feed off fear and chaos and this fear and chaos leads to death, destruction, division.

”… safe from … “ or ”… safe for …”?
”… safe from … “ - anti-gun hysteria is coming
”… safe for …” - guns will be needed
What Trump family posts this is referring to?
