Younger men have been drafted more often because older men have had more time to become exempt by getting college degrees, essential civilian jobs, families, and injuries. I’ve recently read that most zoomers are too out of shape for service so maybe the exemptions will be cut back and they’ll try to conscript more older men.

And the selective service is just registration, if there is going to be a draft, the government will do a lottery from this pool of names, but the draft can be 18- 35 years old.
