Tapes need adequate custody and release trail. Memorialization. If you dump them everywhere they can be altered by anyone. There has to be an established "true" copy whereby any alteration of the original is made plainly obvious. There are enough deep fakes out there to neccessitate certainty that this isn't just splooged out there without control of the narrative.
