All speculation at this point but Argentina is synonymous with hyperinflation and was formerly known for immense wealth prior to Leftists destroying the nation and imprisoning its citizens.
This would be an incredible move for their economy and could create absolute mayhem in the price/adoption rate directly ahead of the Halvening.
Let's go New Pres!!!
AMEN Selfishly, I'm hoping Bitcoin soars because we're counting on it to leave to our children and to share with them now. Would be great to pay off our children's mortgages! My husband and I are 65 yo and are getting ready to downsize. We don't need much except our family, the basics, and maybe 1 vacation a year.
If the public ever finds out about Clown World
Let's just say, it's not 'lol random' when South Park depicts MS Bill Gates with MS-13 tattoos. Gates got arrested for 'driving too fast' in a Porsche 9-1-1 in 1977 (year of the MKUltra hearing Q always highlights).
Bitcoin is going to need one helluva PR team to recover from Great Awakening.
Yes, but people are far more accustomed to using the USD every single day of their lives. Bitcoin to the masses is still very much weird, not all that usable, and scary.
I remember when I first started using Apple Pay and nobody else did and everyone looked at me like I was from an alternate universe. It was only a few years ago
Bitcoin is inevitable. I can't wait to live in a hard money standard in my lifetime and be a united country and world
So you’re OK with everybody having to use a digital ID? Bitcoin only is NWO - in a pretty package.
Transparency bites both ways. An open source AI accountability algorithm that is auditing the central equivalent of the Federal reserve versus one that audits people using Bitcoin can also audit the pedophile elite just as easily. We aren't the ones that depend on the shadows in order to play our games. They are.
Accountability will kill them, not us. Go ahead, I'll have a digital ID, and my AI will guard the identity stack through every single transaction that ever touches that ID. And soon, with homomorphic encryption, my identity will be able to go out into the real world, do real digital work, and not one entity will ever touch it unencrypted.
Dig into the technologies. Pay attention. The future is now, and it belongs to Patriots like us.
Amen! I'm very excited about what bitcoin stands for. Sovereignty ownership of your stored wealth in a decentralized highly protected manner. That's a game changer.
Seems most people who talk crap about it don't know anything about it but hearsay.
Thanks for a little bit of an explanation, because I really don’t know a lot about bitcoin.
Then why did you make such a strongly opinionated (and inaccurate) statement about it to begin with ? Do you always make strong opinions about things you have no idea about ?
Yes 😂🤣
Edit: Just kidding. I am a work in progress!
Bitcoin does not require a digital ID. People may place legislation around ACCESS to bitcoin, but bitcoin itself does not require digital ID.
Once you have digital currency it will be an easy step to implement digital ID.
Bitcoin can be traced dude... it's not as secure as you think. How do you think they caught Dredd Pirate Roberts?
Different bitcoins have different degrees of security. There are some with labyrinthian security measures. Maybe Roberts was careless or got too comfortable.
DPR was caught because he posted a stupid question on stackoverflow.
that and they tracked his btc wallet.
Oh yes I’m well aware. But it also has a major benefit of not being controlled by a Central Bank. Is the price manipulated? Yes, but monetary supply cannot be manipulated and that’s a major win.
Well… If they make it, they’re only source of income, or a ways, and means to pay for services, you bet they’re gonna want you to have some type of an ID for that.
As much as everybody loves their bitcoin, I see how it could be used nefariously in the future. But I’m not a financial expert, so maybe I’m wrong.
The only people who say shit like this are those that take every article they read at face value and don't understand mechanisms inside and throughout Bitcoin.
It's very easy to use Bitcoin and stay anonymous.
There are ways to use it outside of the internet. HAM radio, telephone frequencies, mesh nets, etc. There are always people working on ways to transfer it. There are even cash-like forms in the works.
Ok
A digital currency, I am no expert but this seems like a horrible idea. Back to silver or gold standards.
Learn how this digital currency works. It is not client server, it is free and out in the open internet, totally decentralized. It scares the living crap out of these elite bankers
I'm a little skeptical about digital nerd coins being that they are not physical assets but i do have an open mind. What if a solar flare from the sun knocked out all the electronics or an EMP from nukes? would the Nerd coins survive? although if our enemies hate the nerd coins then by deductive reasoning they should be good.
It would only reduce the hash rate (provided by the inter-networked miners). It is not possible/likely for a solar flare to take out the entire planet. A solar flare powerful enough to knock out all electronics on Earth would be an extraordinarily massive event. The scale of such a storm would likely exceed the highest category currently used to classify solar storms, which is the G5 class on the geomagnetic storm scale. G5 storms can cause widespread electrical disruptions and damage to power grids, but a storm capable of disabling all electronics globally would be unprecedented in recorded history (and I'm even referencing geological measurements of solar events hundreds of thousands or even millions of years ago). The likelihood of such an event is extremely low, but its impact would be catastrophic if it were to occur.
Copy that C5, if our enemies hate the Nerd coins then thats good enough for me!
There's also a finite supply of it. There's a reason bitcoin transactions can be carried out to 8 decimal places.
Non-backed currency, like our current dollar, is susceptible to inflation when those in power won't stop printing it.
If we don't go back to a gold/silver backed dollar, I think Bitcoin would be a good replacement. When it first came out, it was pretty obvious to me, that it was supposed to replace traditional currency. Things went downhill when everyone started trading it for dollars.
Then demystify it by actually understanding it. Don't just let this fester in your mind and turn into a superstition .
I'll explain Bitcoin in the simplest way possible. We are going to do a transaction. Because I have my private keys and no one else does, I can structure a transaction for you where I deliver the value from my address to your address and no one can interfere with it. It can happen in mere moments. But if someone wants to attack the transaction without my private keys to mix into the transaction, it will take them all of the energy in ever produced in the universe to power the supercomputer necessary to hack that transaction.
In other words, the only way to participate in the Bitcoin ecosystem is to participate honestly. There is no room for anyone else participating in any other way.
Have you read the whitepaper?
So when the power or internet goes down, how would anyone access their funds or conduct any transactions? We’ve all seen how fun that is to be at a store when their payment machines aren’t working. It’s chaos.
Yeah, bitcoin enthusiasts disregard the facts as you and others here have stated. To each his own, I'll never buy digital currency.
I’m with you on that. Glad that “the little guy” has had some windfall financial wins with it and happy for them, but I have no interest.
Totally agree. I like to use cash and wish it was gold and silver backed but that's another story. It would really be inconvenient to buy anything with digital currency since you have to use a digital gadget that you have to drag with you all the time and have to keep it charged just to do transactions. That messes with time management in a big way and people don't realize it. But having to rely on the internet and a digital gadget all the time to access your digital currency is just crazy. As most people are addicted to their cell phones, I refuse to carry one, its for emergencies only and stays in the vehicle. As some have already mentioned, if a powerful coronal mass ejection CME from the sun caused an EMP or an enemy blasts a nuke 400 miles up, that EMP would destroy anything digital, as hundreds of millions of digital gadgets would burn up and all digital currency would disappear, but tangible gold and silver remains. No one has yet explained how digital currency would be protected when all computers fail worldwide after an EMP. In the end it would be total chaos because we rely so much on digital throw-away gadgets.
Exactly. Even just having an ice/snow storm, hurricane, earthquake, flood, tornado, whatever type of common disaster can wipe out power and internet for days or weeks at a time. So anyone in that vicinity impacted would be unable to buy anything for the duration of the outage. That’s just inhumane from the jump.
I just hope the nice Gernan village down there is okay. Just a village all speaking German for no reason at all.
Did you know that Trump's Secretary of State Rex tillerson visited that Argentina village during Trump's presidency?

Interesting. Id love to see it!
The supposed communist leanings of Peron adherents is a cover for the legacy Nazi communities down there.
👏👏👏
i vote for paper currency with actual PM content in the paper. Maybe there could be some sort of decentralized digital partner, but the people would have to approve a new world order- proof white paper.
Just..."bitcoin as the national currency" kinda makes us look like a joke. Grandma is not dealing with bitcoin cold storage, and economic trade is not going to be completely dependent on a working internet. not too mention how slow it is, gas fees, etc..etc...etc..
lol...waiting 2 hours for a vending machine soda purchase transaction to get confirmed.
This is a good comment, your logic is sound, but it's a bit superstitious. Yes, grandma will never understand how Bitcoin works. But people that think that we have to educate everyone on how to cold storage their Bitcoin on paper and all the rest of it aren't thinking it through. Most of these people will never actually own a Bitcoin, but they will own apps and other ways to transact using side chains and custom logic instead
LOL!

That sounds like a really bad idea.
"Sounds"
If you refuse to learn how it works and what it can do you will always make decisions based on fear and superstition
If we're talking about bitcoin, it's vaporware, snake oil, smoke and mirrors. It will eventually reach it's inherent value, zero.
Digital currency means whoever has control can keep you from buying or selling anything. I read that somewhere before!
That's referring to the central bank digital currency. Bitcoin is decentralized. Not sure about other cryptocurrencies.
Cool idea, but... the Bitcoin blockchain can only process about 7 transactions per second.
It is never going to be enough to use BTC as a currency.
BTC could be the store of wealth in the nation while a form of money is used for everyday transactions. Like a gold standard but a bitcoin standard instead.
Before people get too over excited about Milei bear in mind that he could be a total nutter, half his plans will never happen, and there is a very serious chance he will crash the Argentine economy
Reality
I never really believed they would be pegged to the US dollar as a means to lessen hyperinflation, which is why I thought they would use BRICS when they were announced.
I would be hesitant to have bitcoin as the reserve currency but that's because I'm an old fashion gold bug, On the other hand, moving to bitcoin is a good way to transition to a free gold type of standard.
Here, I coached GPT to make the reply I wanted to this. Give this some thought?

For me one of the biggest threats to bitcoin is it relies on rational actors on behalf of the minors, where I don't see them being rational when production comes a lot harder to come by. Plus I think it's important to be backed by something physical.
The storage fees and being less liquid and less of a concern as I prioritize the proxy for wealth/store of value over medium of exchange.
I gotta say I'm totally excited about this possibility. Bitcoin can be a decentralized store of value that anyone can invest in (need a phone and the internet, yes). Argentina would be smart to get out of the globalist fiat system and back their currency with a bitcoin standard. Definitely rooting for them!
In February, I presented a theory about a shared public ledger that could transform instantly, for free, without validators (miners/stakers).

Maybe it's an idea for which the time has not yet come. But I consider it my contribution to the great awakening... the world needs a type of money that can't be systemically captured by criminals.
I've proven in simulation that it works (created a javascript demo). But it needs some professionals to take interest in it. I feel lost about what to do with it.
It would allow anyone to make a transaction and have it be established in all connected machines as fast as a text message, with no additional work, no additional cost, and subject to no preferences or powers. Not even a blockchain.
Holy sh!t that would be so massive. It would be a direct threat to every central bank in the world for a nation of that size to adopt btc. If he’s not assassinated in the next year, anyone doubting “patriots in control” that’s a major happening.
Bitcoin is some serious hopium. Requires alot of faith in a handful of nerds. I'd way rather it being in the hands of everyone even with the corruption. Is it not a little on the commie, facist side of things to imagine a digital currency worldwide, seems like a trap. Like most of these ideas they are very dream like, "we can all get along under one system an be peaceful"
We know this is not the case, an acceptance of human nature to an extent has to be incorporated. Digital currency takes away from local communities, states and countries there finacial independence thus a huge threat to sovereignty. Though defiantly not perfect, the physical ownership has be there for the people to feel with each of there hands, this is the fairest way.
When it comes to combating criminals an tracking the cabal I feel it's the opposite they love the digital crypto currency for many reasons, anomity being one of the main. Also very obvious the countries who adopt will pair with digital ID.
Bitcoin is open source. Anyone can inspect the code. The consensus ango is literally the biggest bug bounty ever made. Crack Bitcoin, find a flaw, and you can take down a $1 trillion system.
Bitcoin is decentralized. It is not "client/server? like a CBDC would be. It is not fiat, it is trustless, whereas a CBDC is still fiat, still trust-based.
The rest of what you say is correct, but, you are referring to CBDC's.
