Lord, we pray for Your mercy towards, grace for and healing of this beloved husband and that the doctors and all other caregivers involved in his care will give him the most excellent, quality care to help him towards a complete and total recovery from whatever his current ailment is. Lord, if it’s Your will, please make this beloved husband whole again, renew his body and strengthen his spirit. Lord, we ask that You comfort his wife, anon AlaskaMAGA, and all of his loved ones as they go through this stressful time, that You calm their worried minds and give them strength to support him throughout this trial. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Testing so far reveals no bleeds, but MRI is ordered and a shit ton more testing to happen. They have admitted him and we will be in for a long night. Weakness on left side, T1D for 52 years (age 64), stage 4 CKD, memory and confusion issues. Holiday weekend means less doctors than normal. Feeling pretty helpless.
I’m not a doctor, but the absence of bleeds seems like a positive sign. The MRI will show any blockages and I’m sure they’re looking carefully at his blood work (electrolytes, iodine levels, any other deficiencies or imbalances). The fact that it’s weakness and not paralyzation is also an indication that you’re catching a possible stroke at an early stage. T1D (and T2D, for that matter) are rough on the body’s organs over time including (and perhaps especially) the kidneys and the doctors will definitely be including this knowledge as they continue to diagnose your husband and formulate a plan for his recovery. Fifty-two years of T1D - your husband is a strong man.
Lord please heal AlaskaMAGA’s loved one - show her no doctors are needed only your healing hand lord during her time of need - all the glory and power to you o lord - please comfort her during this time of great anxiety and show her yiur awesome power - Lord please hear this prayer 🙏

As has already been mentioned, no bleeds or paralyzation are good signs. God hears our prayers and he is being inundated with a bunch of them for your husband. You need some prayers, too, to help you navigate this stressful time. I hope you have some support with you.
Thank you everyone. It was a stroke, their course of treatment is aspirin, plavix and crestor. I took him out of his room 33 on the 3rd wing of the third floor and will care for him at our current residence. They pushed for him to go into a rehab facility, threatening me that if I declined, I may not be able to later. I'm so over it. Going to find a place in Mexico.
