That being said... It is Hamas controlled news. So I don't imagine the true number is anywhere near that number.
I'm not fan of the Israeli government, but considering at the beginning of the Oct 7th attack they could've carpet combed Gaza for two weeks straight and ended all Hamas activity there forever, but instead chose to send in ground troops and risk the lives of Israelis in order to have a cleaner operation, does speak to some level of the humanity that they have.
Im for neither side on this but i dont trust the numbers coming out of Palestine because Hamas controls the numbers AND they dont even differentiate between civilians and Hamas fighters.

I mean, I read over 75% of gaza supported the surprise attack against civilians, dancing and cheerimg as well. Hard to feel sympathy for them as they chant river to sea and other genocidal nonsense. They brought this on themselves.

Wow, they are going all out to get the US or the UN to force a permanent ceasefire. It is fake news. Israel is overly sensitive to not causing these kind of casualties so they don’t get shut down.
The Gaza operation is part of a much bigger plan that will bring long term peace to the region. Gaza will basically be leveled and the Palestinians, including the West Bank, will be relocated out of Israel and likely out of the region.
It will also get the Israeli DS out of our shit and taken care of.
I am hesitant to accept these numbers as fact not because I'm on Israel's side, but rather because the source comes from the government of Gaza -- who obviously are directly tied to Hamas.
It's clear (well...to us, anyway) that the Israeli response has been too overwhelmingly destructive, but you also can't trust face value of a government under assault (after all, how many people did that "ghost of Kiev" kill? Haha.)
I think that we need more time with people closer to the situation to help verify these numbers.

Hamas started a war with Israel. They get what they get. Don't start a war with someone and then cry about the consequences of your own actions.
I wonder who was doing the counting, oh, I see, it is the Palestinian authority. WOW, we better believe EVERYTHING they tell us. In war, propaganda is used by both sides. This war will not end until Israel has retrieved the hostages---dead or alive-- and killed every member of Hamas they run into. Hamas' only chance of survival is surrender. The war looks like it will widen to the North and South. Eventually, if this is the beginning of Ps.83 and then Ezek 38-39, the entire world will turn against Israel and fight against them. If that happens, look up!

Perhaps something the American government has never tried before.
Denying entry to the country from the region, and becoming non-interventionist.
We radicalized that entire region and when we can be used as the sword and shield of countries in proximity (such as Israel), there is never going to be an end to the war and the terrorism.
Trump had the right idea. Target leadership with devastating precision attacks, then pull back and let the countries figure themselves out.
Before Trump, innocents were dying and homes were destroyed. We just continued to radicalize them.
At a certain point, you are supposed to either go for total conquest (not feasible across the planet with too many political implications) or negotiate their surrender with a ceasefire.
Wipe out or somehow render infertile as many women/girls of childbearing age and younger as possible among the groups that are most prone to causing terror.
